I have a 93 Nissan pickup that I use as a service truck. About 6 months ago, I had Boyd's Auto in Martin Tennessee put a new air conditioning compressor, orifice tube, and receiver drier on this truck. Basically $550 worth of new AC parts. Prior to this my air conditioning worked fine but the bearings in the compressor started rattling. I couldn't complain as the truck is 25 years old and had the original AC compressor. After about a month and a half the freon had leaked out. I took the truck to Crestview Motors for them to find the leak and repair it. They called and said that the truck needed new air conditioning lines. I told them that was fine go ahead and replace them. I was told by the woman who handles scheduling that the parts could not be found and it would take some time to order them. I told them fine call me when the parts are in and I'll drop the truck off. Weeks passed. I finally called and they had forgotten me. Hey, no problem I understood that. She said the parts they ordered were in but they found a leak in a line that goes to the condenser and ordered a new one from Nissan. It was to be overnighted. No problem I said do what you need to. She said they would send someone to pick up the needed part, and could I have the truck there at 8AM? Sure no problem. She said the hose replacement and AC charge would take a few hours and my truck would be ready that afternoon. The day wore on and around 2PM I stopped by to check the status on my truck. When asked, she didn't even know if the part came in. Let me call she said. So she calls the Nissan dealership in Paris and only then found out that part is no longer available. So I check the hose they are trying to replace and guess what? The reason they are replacing that hose is they stripped the threads on it. Sorry they said, can I find this irreplaceable hose? No salvage or parts supplier in 150 miles of me had it. I had to drive 7 hours one way to a salvage in Arkansas that does not ship to replace the hose. And you can bet they will never work on anything of...
Read moreThe mechanic/owner picked up my diesel truck to replace a fuel pump. They obviously are not knowledgeable about diesels as a Chevy duramax hS 4 fuel pumps. They put on a rail pump and a fuel injector pump but didn’t tell me anything other then they replaced the fuel pump. Any diesel owner knows the fuel pump is in the fuel tank, they never replaced it. Instead they had a fuel leak, couldn’t start it and tried to tell me I needed new injectors. Cost me over a $1,000 when I told them I was done with them. HD my truck 2 weeks and would even acknowledge my calls. Took truck to a different mechanic who fixed fuel leak due to them not tightening the valves. Replaced the fuel pump on the fuel tank and a couple lines. Truck is running just fine now in less then a week. The owner is the rudest person I ever dealt with at Crestview and not knowledgeable about diesels. Would never...
