I am new to the area and I have 3 kitties. One has diabetes and gets sick from time to time. Needing to establish a new vet, I read through my fair share of reviews to choose which one to go to. My diabetic kitty was sick and having diarrhea throughout my house so I brought him here. Dr Nelson was very kind, he did a very thorough job and thoroughly explained all results to me, I never felt like he was rushing and he listened to me, which is important to me. Blood work was done, I brought a stool sample to test, he changed his insulin to a different brand, gave him an antibiotic. Everything luckily came back normal. However, the bill was insanely high. very very pricey. It cost me about $900 for the visit, no radiological tests were done either which is fine. but for the bill to be this high, I just cant afford that anytime my cat needs something. so, for this reason I am leaving a review, because it would be nice to know prices of services before going in with your pet and being unaware of what your bill is going to be. Amazing veterinary practice just outside of Clarks Summit. My wife's family has been taking their Goldens there for years, so when we got our Lab puppy, it was an easy decision to take her there as well. It is clear that everyone there has a true passion for animals. We've had medical questions during closed hours, and the voicemail we left was returned that same day, even though the vet was closed. I love Dr. Nelson. He has saved more then 1 of my furry babies. I have been going to him for approximately 15years and would not go anywhere else. He is kind respectful to me and my pup.my husband was amazed. He said it was like taking a child to a pediatrician. Made as we understand everything and always ask if we have any questions.
