Usually eat here at least 2-3 a month. Never had anything bad to say about the food or service, except today, Father’s Day.

The hostess embarrassed us because she originally sat us in the back where the other tables were right on top of you and the decibel was like a rock concert, I could not hear my son ask for a napkin. We asked for a booth in the quiet side of the restaurant and she proceeded to talk to my wife like she was a child, her response was “ you should have asked for a booth in the first place”.

We sat down in the booth at 12:51, all of us ordered breakfast.

We did not get served our food until 1:48, 57 minutes later.

My daughters French toast was so had that I had to use a serrated knife to cut it.

My wife said her food had a terrible smoked smell as did my omelet and side of bacon.

Honestly the food was terrible!

The waitress whom we have had before was the only part of our experience that was pleasant, she was nice as always. She even deducted 20% off our check for the long wait.

I went to retrieve my car which was parked near the back side of the restaurant near the kitchen and low and behold the kitchen staff were all enjoying their cigarettes which made me realize the smoke taste on our food!

Sorry to report this because we really...

Last Saturday and today my boyfriend and I wanted to try out the Glenburne Restaurant and Bakery. This was the worst customer service I have ever been exposed to. The sign outside says breakfast, lunch and dinner but they close at 3 and only do dinner one time a month. We showed up last Saturday at 2:40 and upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with eyes rolling. We found out they close at 3, we left at 3:10. So, we thought we would give them another chance. Today we arrived at 10:40, were seated. When the server came to take our order she not once smiled through our whole time there. She told me that they didn't have biscuits and gravy today, ok so I found something else I wanted sausage omelet with sausage gravy on it and with biscuits???? I dont get it. Not once today did the server come over and ask how everything was and ask my boyfriend if he wanted more coffee. We go out to eat quite frequently and Glen Burne Restaurant you just lost customers, very very...

Horrible service.

My wife and I went here for brunch on Sunday. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, no big deal. We ordered our beverages, and it's like they forgot about us. They didn't take our order until 37 minutes later. After two separate groups of people that sat down after us complained. Finally we ordered. 45 minutes later we got our food. The groups after us were done eating as we were getting our food. Apparently you have to complain to get you food at a reasonable time. We also ordered soup in which we did not get and told the counter lady to take off our bill. As she told our waitress for a heads up, our waitress rudely made the excuse that the soup must have went to the wrong table. We come here 3 times a month and this is the second time something like this happened back to back. Will not be going here again. Unfortunate enough to say the...

I struggled over the rating - would have been 4.5 If I had that option. Most of the staff were very friendly and the vibe/atmosphere was really nice. The bakery items up front looked delicious (didn't indulge since this was breakfast:-). I tasted my husband's corned beef hash and it was amazing - like they must have cooked the corned beef and made the hash from it - so fresh. I had cinnamon raisin french toast and thought it was incredibly dry. I thought the menu said it came with cinnamon butter, but I was told it did not - looked at the menu again on the way out and still think it should have, but maybe they meant that it's just grilled in cinnamon butter. Regardless, it was hard to eat and that was a bummer since it was a "calorie splurge" for me. Next time I'd get the corned beef - because I definitely want to go back.

I own a small business. I know how important it is to get good reviews. When I find a place like this, I want to make sure it is shared. What a neat little place. Homey, comfortable, clean, and delicious! You can tell they take pride in their business. The food was amazing. I had homade cornbeef hash (not from a can) and homefries with peppers and onions. Yummy! I had to take half home because the portions were huge. I included pictures of all the homemade candy and pastries. As well as the hand made crafts available for sale. If you are in the area, it is definitely a place to check out! Thank you, guys, for a delicious meal and awesome service!

Awesome food and people! Our family discovered this place recently and we really enjoy going here. We love the rustic farmhouse atmosphere and it’s always decorated so nice. We go about once a week and everyone is really friendly! Portions are huge and you never leave hungry! Yesterday we got the call that our 13-year-old won the “guess the pumpkin’s weight” contest, which made his entire Halloween! We went for breakfast this morning and he was so proud to collect his pumpkin pie prize! The ladies were so sweet to him and we really appreciate such a warm, inviting, family place to eat at when we’re in the area. Truly lovely folks! Highly recommended!
