The store is nice because it is new. I liked the store until this past weekend when I was told I could only use 1 paper coupon per transaction when the coupon policy states 5 like coupons per transaction. When I said something about this the manager immediately said I could do it this once but that was it. Then when i handed over a coupon for $2.00 off of any dog treat of a specific brand she didnt follow policy then either. For that brand of dog treat the price was $1.00 so that would make the dog treat free with an overage of $1.00 and by coupon policy that $1.00 in overage is to be applied to the customers total transaction amount. The reason being for this to happen this way is because when the manager sends in all the coupons to get reimbursed by the company they are going to pay her the full $2.00 that the coupon states to take off. So not only would she be keeping the dollar from my end, but she is making another dollar from the company that puts out the coupon when they reimburse the store. When I asked about the overage being put on my total like it states in the store policy she said that it was actually up to her weither she let's the full value amount of the coupon to be taken off my totaI. I had forgot my copy of the coupon policy so I asked politly to look at theirs and she had no idea where it was and told the cashier it was his job to know where it was and walked away. I mean if this situation was reversed and I was trying to take money from them and the company that issued the coupon she would have gladly called the police and turn me in for coupon fraud because it is in fact coupon fraud, to change the value of a company issued coupon so to decrease someone's savings and increase the stores revenue by then going ahead and knowingly receiving the full value amount reimbursement from the coupon company, this is coupon fraud period. If you dont know something ask someone you dont just spout out lies and commit fraud so that you do not have to feel ignorant about something. This is unprofessional and down right reckless behavior I know once or twice might not seem like much but usually If someone feels comfortable doing this it becomes more and more that they try to get away with. It becomes almost an addiction to them. I know as long as management is the same I will not be doing any transactions with coupons or store savings because she either wasnt ready for that or she had been waiting for a situation like that...not impressed at all, corporate was addressed and apologized thoroughly so I do feel better about that part...wish dollar general wouldn't just throw anyone with or without management and customer service background into every new store they build...that's probably got alot to due with the many lawsuits going on..no proper training and they hire alot of ppl who feel like they make the rules and the rules dont apply to them I have noticed...thats a recipe for disaster...I have seen all the horrible things the CEO has been saying about dollar general customers being slow and stupid and he picks uneducated ppl to run his stores and handle all the poor ppl who are also uneducated...wow and I guess why should we expect any better behavior from his employees...not all stores are like this but this one and the one on 30th omg horrible horrible managers who treat people awful..I do...

Read moreOne thing I can’t stand is when it’s store or perhaps even corporate policy to have employees lie about restrooms being out of order in order to not have to maintain the bathrooms in a basically brand new building. To deny a paying customer a restroom for a little girl is atrocious, I don’t believe for a second both restrooms are out of order and that employees work their entire shifts without access to a restroom. Thanks to the lady at this store who lied about bathrooms So my 8 year old couldn’t go...
