Dino's Park & Shop — Local services in Glocester

I just moved here (Chepachet) a few months ago, so I didn't know what to expect with Dino's - it reminded me of the smaller markets sprinkled across Cape Cod, where I used to live.

Happily, it turned out to be a lot better than most of those - Dino's is cute and friendly, and has a lot of store specific items like the Cape markets, but it also carries a good selection of items you can find in the bigger stores too, and pretty much has the same prices as a Stop and Shop.

It has a nice bakery and deli, and the produce is generally good. I would be thrilled if it carried a few weird things that I personally have a hard time finding (goat milk and goat milk yogurt, gluten/nightshade free packaged foods, very local, raw honey, etc), but I never expect to find that stuff anywhere, so I don't hold it against them.

There are a number of items that I will occasionally go to Walmart to stock up on, but most of the time Dino's is now my goto regular store. It is literally two minutes from my new place, and I am really happy...

I have been here in the past and had no complaints because of it’s locations. It seemed fine for what area it’s in. I ran into the store quick because I only needed one gallon of milk. They refused my debit card and the cashier said it’s a five dollar minimum for the card . I expect that BS requirement from a Convenient store but not a local Grocery store. I said the total is 4.89 are they really stoping me and not allowing me from buying here for 11 cents. The cashier then suggested I buy an items /candy next to the register to bring up the total. Umm.. please mr food store let me select more items so that you will let me buy food from you! Being sarcastic I just...

This is a GREAT local grocery store, it has excellent produce, fish and specialty items such as bakery and cooked meals. The reason I gave it a four is the store staff overall does not seem treated well because they are generally unhappy. But the owners work hard to keep the parking lot well cared for such as with salting of ice and creating a well lit safe parking area. The store is kept clean and orderly. I do hope the staff is given more care and appreciation. Kind words and care can go a long way in making the atmosphere...
