I had the pleasure of working with Joey Carrara and I cannot speak highly enough of his expertise and professionalism. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to ensure that I had a safe and enjoyable experience.

First of all, Joeys knowledge of the local terrain was truly impressive. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the area's peaks, trails, and climbing routes, and was able to tailor the itinerary to my skill level and interests. Whether we were scaling steep cliffs or scrambling up rocky ridges, his experience made me completely confident

But what really stood out to me was Joeys commitment to safety. He was meticulous in checking our gear and ensuring that I was properly equipped for every ascent. Joey also took the time to educate me on proper climbing techniques and safety procedures, which gave me the confidence I needed to tackle challenging routes.

Beyond his technical expertise, Joey was a joy to be around. Friendly, personable, and always willing to answer any questions and share insights into the local area. Whether we were chatting on Longs Peak or swapping stories while anchored to the top of the first flat iron. Joeys warm personality and easygoing nature us feel like old friends.

Overall, I would highly recommend Joey to anyone looking for an unforgettable outdoor adventure. His expertise, professionalism, and infectious enthusiasm for the mountains make him the perfect companion for any guided excursion. If you're ready to take on the Rockies in style, look no further than Joey “The...

I just recently completed a one-on-one falling clinic with Sevve Stember who is a certified coach of the Warrior’s Way training and one of the guides at DMG. I have been climbing for over 25 years and I’ve climbed alpine routes, big walls, as well as being a very active sport climber. After coming off my first ever shoulder surgery in December 2020, the prospect of returning to climbing was seriously in doubt. After months of rehab, I had made plans to get together with Sevve to return to climbing and approach the next leg of my climbing journey with the beginners mind. While I have taken big falls, and climbed as hard as 5.13, falling has always been a fear of mine. I decided I had little to lose and much to gain by working with Sevve and opted to take a one day falling clinic. Sevve is incredibly gifted when it comes to coaching, provides clear communication and truly understands what it is to inspire others. Even though I had some preconceived notions about what the class might be like, I was blown away after spending two hours going through different drills, to discover how much the course could help my climbing. I truly cannot recommend survey enough, and would encourage anyone, no matter how many years they’ve been climbing, to give this course a try. After the course, Sevve followed up with me and offered to remain a resource and help me propel my climbing to new heights. I cannot wait to see where this takes me on...

A group of friends and I recently had a private full-day (6hr) guided ice climbing course with Denver Mountain Guiding, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! Kevin was prompt and helpful with all communication as we planned our day, and modified our initial meetup place to avoid ski traffic and maximize climbing/instruction time, which was really appreciated.

DMG had ice axes, ice climbing boots, crampons, and microspikes for everyone to rent (we were all climbers with harnesses and helmets of our own to bring), and all their equipment was in excellent condition.

Our two guides for the day, Nathan and James, were awesome! They provided helpful, thorough, and safe instruction, and it was clear they both have a wealth of experience and knowledge. Their approach to instruction was easily digestible, teaching more technique as the day progressed. They were really encouraging to each of us and helped to keep a great vibe.

The trip was much more affordable than I anticipated. We had 6 people in our group, and pricing broke down to about $120/person, which feels like an incredible value for what we got out of the day. I appreciated that they send everyone an individual invoice, which prevented any hassle of one person trying to wrangle payments from everyone.

Overall I couldn't be happier with DMG! They will be my go-to for any other climbing instruction...

I booked two days with Denver Mountain Guides. Kevin worked with me to figure out my experience level, what kind of climbing I was looking to do, tailored the routes based exactly to the alpine climb I was hoping to do the 2nd day (thunderstorms cancelled our plans unfortunately). Day 1- Bill took me up Gambit in Eldo and showed me the ropes on my first multi-pitch climb ever, he was super informative and instructive and made me confident in all of the systems we used, not to mention a ton of fun to hang out with! He even threw in a bonus 5.10 single pitch at the end of the day before the rain shut us down. Day 2- Becca met me super early to squeeze in an extra long day in Eldo after a pivot from our cancelled RMNP day. We started up Long John Wall, short-roped and down-climbed to Yellow Spur, climbed Yellow Spur, and then down climbed the slabs all the way down to the creek to ice down some tired hands and feet! Super awesome adventure day that surpassed my expectations. Becca was awesome to climb with, an excellent guide, and a blast to hang out with all day! I will definitely be booking with Denver Mountain Guides again!

We had THE most wonderful experience here. Kevin organized a last-minute, next-day excursion for us in the matter of hours, and put us directly in contact with our amazing guide, Dylan, immediately after booking. Dylan was the perfect guide: he was responsive and easy to find, brought extra layers with him for the cold (we would not have survived the 40-degree weather without!), and made our first time climbing outdoors super memorable (also took pics of us while climbing!). We were a group of beginner indoor and novice climbers, so he started us off on super manageable routes (5.4), and walked us through hand and foot placements from below on intermediate ones (5.10). I really appreciated his patience with all of our questions, his energy throughout the session, and his fun/chill vibe -- felt like we were just hanging with a friend most of the time. I also think this place beats most in Denver value-wise -- other companies seem to charge double what we paid for 4 hours for only 2-hour sessions. Will definitely climb with Dylan again in the future when in Denver, and HIGHLY recommend booking with DMG!!
