Phantom Lanes — Local services in Goldsboro

The bowling alley is fun, but I do not recommend the food. Went there with family, there was a girl and a guy working with the food, the girl told us she’d help us but that she’s also bowling on a league. Mostly the food was unexciting, my chicken was literally so tough that it was inedible, they changed it for mozzarella sticks after they insisted to my husband that I get another chicken sandwich to which he said absolutely not, then I noticed a hair not only in my fries, but also in my toddlers grilled cheese sandwich... when I went to tell the guys, first he offered to make another, I told him no that I just wanted to let him know, and he said he was sorry but that he’s not going to promise that it won’t happen again. I argued that that’s disgusting and that’s what hair nets are for, and he said that it could happen anywhere. I understand what he was trying to say, people make mistakes, but that’s not what you say to a paying customer. For those reasons I will absolutely never eat their food again and don’t recommend anyone...

Phantom Lanes is a small bowling center but has a very different atmosphere. It's very welcoming! The food is really good. Breakfast is served ALL DAY! How awesome is that!? The lanes are in good shape and the staff is very nice and helpful. The manager, Barney, is awesome. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone gets what they need and enjoys their time at Phantom Lanes. I really like it here. Great place to visit with family, friends, co-workers, etc. For the novice or advanced bowlers, there's a pro shop available as well. Parking is slightly limited but it's free and directly in front of the building. No long walk with equipment. Handicap parking is available as well. The bathrooms are...

It was great. New technology and graphics for score keeping. I went on a Saturday and at 2:30 they changed to Cosmic bowling and turned out the lights. There were flashing colored lights. I couldn't see the marking on the lanes. I am 71 yrs old and have not bowled for over 10 yrs. They should have warned us.
