Are you homeless? Need a place to live? Stay here in one of their units! All you need is the code and you have access to the WHOLE BUILDING! Me and my husband recently rented a unit. To start with there are about 5+ entry points to get into the location. The only type of signage that is up is a non-laminated piece of paper that somebody quickly printed off and only placed on certain locations making it extremely difficult to find our unit. We spent about 30 minutes trying to locate our unit. No one on site. Only cameras. While we were trying to locate our unit, I was able to access the entire building that was once used as a puppy mill. I can go into any room I wanted. Take anything I wanted if I wanted to. Electricity on. Perfect for anyone needing a place to live. No one would know. Once I found my unit, it was a 10 x 20 because I had requested a larger one because I was moving a home into it, I found that it was on the second floor! No elevator. Just stairs. Mind you the person that I spoke with when I initially rented the unit did not tell me this. And while I am on the second floor, I can literally look down and see into everybody’s storage. Nothing is contained. I could throw stuff into storage units and nobody would know. It’s gross to actually think about what could happen to your stuff while it’s here. When you call to speak to somebody, it is a generic call center. No one from around here. They actually have no idea even what unit they are renting you. They are basically there to take your call and money. Administrative fees too!! This building is a complete fire hazard. I do not recommend anybody renting from here. They even require that you have your own insurance. The place is a maze and is unsafe. I would not feel comfortable Knowing that my parents were walking around alone in that place. It’s very sketchy. The whole place smells like mildew. It has rat traps all over the place, flickering lights, dead bugs all over the floor that looks like it hasn’t been picked up in months. AGAIN, THIS PLACE IS A FIRE HAZARD. Good thing McDonald county does not require inspections done on commercial buildings. Or this place would never have happened. Also, now I keep receiving text messages asking if I’d like to give feedback on my experience with the company to be entered in a drawing for a gift card—— I get these daily! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. I was surprised at how large the facility is. It was a little difficult to find my storage unit, but then once I did, I was able to find an exit that was close so I can move my things in. I wish someone had mentioned they have handicap units that are closer to the doors which I do have a physical disability. I did not see this mentioned on the website. The rate is perfect and you get insurance in case anything were to happen. I like that.. The fact the entire place is locked down you have to have codes to get in. Makes me feel safe. It's clean and temperature control. I moved in on a Sunday and a holiday. They still had customer service ready to help me. I did not get an email but when I called the number, they were able to provide me with a gate code and a number for my lock that was provided by them. Rented a space for our RV bus. They were the most reasonable and the space was paved unlike most. It is a very clean place. Sandra at the Goodman Mo facility was very helpful in helping secure a spot. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Had problems entering, called her and left message.
