There are MUCH better christian schools out there. Don't waist your time and money. I attended BCF from 2001 to 2003 and it was not the best experience. The Music Programs were great, the core classes were good, the bible teachers were exhaustively boring, the Counseling teachers were great, but some of the office staff was short and rude, and the facilities were awful. They were very old and smelled bad. I also stayed in married housing while there and it was cold, old, and felt like a concretet prison cell. The tech was very outdated and there seemed to be no push to update with the changing times. It's like the minimum was ok and no one cared to make the school better. That brings me to today, 7 years later, I went to BCF website to try to order transcripts, but the site was not pretty, not intuitive, and a little difficult to navigate. After wasting 10 minutes trying to find a link for transcripts, I decided to call Student Services (which I did find under the 'contact us' link). I talked to Mr. Booth who was very helpful and professional. However, after I emailed my request form to him, I had another question. I called the Student Services number and got an answer from a "Stephanie". She was very rude, short, and unprofessional. I asked to speak with Mr. Booth and she said, very contemptibly, that he was at lunch. I asked if she could ask him to call me back and instead of complying, she asked what my question was, so I told her. She continued to be very short and obviously annoyed that I called. I expressed that I hope BCF could catch up with other schools one day, she made an weird noise that was in no way a word, and then hung up on me. I can only hope that BCF strives to employ the most professional people, but it seems the minimum is still par for the course. I thought I would love this school, but I didn't like it when I was there and it seems like things are pretty much the same. I hate to admit it, but it appears that this school is only there to continue the sheltering of kids and make money off of the Lord. They are not interested in improving the school, nor keep up the the changing times. Maybe this is why "Stephanie" hates her job so much. By the way, I tried to call "Stephanie" back three more times to discuss the obvious problems that I had caused her and to hopefully find a resolution to her hatred for me, but she would not answer. UPDATE: I called Mr. Booth's direct number, and "Stephanie" answered! I apologized for making her angry and she said my comment was not nice. Just so you know, my comment, I simply said, in reference to ordering trasnscipts, "I hope BCF can catch up one day." Meaning, I hoped BCF could catch up with other schools and provide faster service and a better web experience. I told her that it was not a personal attack and she very rudely and incensed said, "Well, I work for the school, so I take it personal!" (insert eye roll emoji here) Anyway, I apologized again, but I by her tone, I don't think she cares enough about the students and/or alumni and...

I arrived at The Baptist College of Florida in fall of 2009. My journey to this great institution began one December day in 2008 as I sat at home and began to do college research during my senior year of High School. I had other schools in mind, but I knew that I wanted to get a Bible Based and Christ Centered degree. In the beginning of my search for this degree, I knew very little about how to find a college that would help me to achieve what I knew that the Lord had called me to do, so I simply searched, "Cheap Baptist Colleges in Florida." Searching for the "Baptist" part might cause some curiosity, but I was attending a Southern Baptist Church and it seemed like a good idea. I graduated from The Baptist College of Florida in spring 2013 with a B.A. in Ministry and have learned that the Google search back in 2008 had major flaw in it. The Baptist College of Florida is by no means “cheap.” Compared to other private schools it is “inexpensive,” but to attribute the term “cheap” tears down the integrity of this institution. BCF is about the business of “Changing the World Through the Unchanging Word.” They are unapologetic in this task and when one is a student, they are expected to adhere to certain rules of conduct. Who should attend BCF? Any student that anticipates being challenged to grow spiritually and equipped to reason academically. It is my belief that there is not a better institution to entrust your education to straight out of high school if you desire to become a man or woman of God that is equipped to...

The Florida Baptist College is a great Christ centered college. It has been completely updated with remodeled facilities, including classrooms, cafeteria, and gymnasium. As of early 2023, the college has a new president, and he has begun to implement big changes. The staff is very friendly, and I can see the love of Jesus in them. The campus is very large, with a lot of buildings, including a historic district, with some antebellum church buildings and pavilion. It's very scenic with rolling lawns and a lake. I strongly recommend anyone who is considering going to a christ centered, bible believing college to make a visit and take a tour of the campus. Dr. Jumper, the dean, would be happy...
