Tygart Lake Cabins — Local services in Grafton

We have been coming cabins for four years. I typically come 5 to 6 times a year. We have used these for work retreats, solo retreats, and family retreats. We have stayed pinger in every season.

I can’t say enough good things about this place .

First, it starts with the maintenance crews. They’re always seems to be somebody around making sure everything is maintained properly. I have been here when there’s a storm in the next day. They’re cleaning up all the fallen branches. It’s quite amazing.

Second it let’s start with the cabins they’re unbelievable. I have never stayed in such a well equipped cabin. You could have Thanksgiving dinner without having to bring any utensils because they literally have everything you need to cook. They’re always very clean and comfortable beds and nice bathrooms.

Each cabin comes with firewood and fire starter along with a nice little fire area picnic area .

We have stayed in every single cabin. The lake views are absolutely outstanding views. Each one has a private path that you can walk down to the lake. They also have docs that come complementary with the cabins, which is great for when we bring our boat.

The playground by the cabins are great and well-maintained. Not to mention the paved road is great if you run to the Dam and it’s a perfect 10 mile run.

There is a camp store that’s well stocked in case you forget anything, but you can also go to the main lodge which pro tip go there for dinner at least one night it’s an unbelievable deal for what you get ! Walmart is relatively close in Grafton as well.

There are many trails you can walk to. They’re not challenging, but they’re scenic and fun to walk especially recommend the school bus trail.

I often use these to work on some long-term projects and the Wi-Fi is great. You can run Zoom meetings if needed here I do all the time.

Lastly you have the entire state park to explore!

I have to say one time we were here and power went out they immediately came out to bring bags of ice to keep things cool and offered to let us check out and refund. Better service than a fancy hotel!
