We were a three-generation family doing daily hikes in RMNP and this was a great, first hike, especially being close to Grand Lake, where we were staying and with not too great an elevation so that we could acclimate well enough our first day out. The trail starts out with a decent incline, levels out, winds through beautiful woods (listen closely for moose, plus you can see lots of chipmunks, which was so much fun for our two year old grandon) comes upon the Falls and then, as we chose to do, continues on to the East Meadow and East Inlet Trails, both offering amazing meadow, East Inlet Creek, and snow-capped mountain views, The Falls are impressive enough and there is a viewing platform from which to see them. I suggest doing this hike early in the day before the Trail gets too crowded. Additionally, although it is part of RMNP, it before the entrance to the Park.

Big falls, short hike.

Parking is a little busy but you can find something if you take your time. The trail to the waterfall is pretty busy and we came across a moose right away. make sure you do the loop and hit the area at the top and dip your feet in the ice cold water. It is a little bit of an uphill hike for any of the plains people like me so be prepared for it with the altitude! Well worth it and most people should be able to make this hike.

This was my first time to Colorado at 52 and we went to Adams Falls. It was beautiful!!! I have knee issues and sadly out of shape and I made it to the falls and the clearing. I just wanted to let whoever know that you can do it. And we went in March 2021 when it's still winter there with lots of snow, so we had the snow pants and heavy coats on. Colorado is a beautiful state!!! We didnt need an appt. And there was noone there to take money,...
