I attended for my first time a month after opening in February 2022 the third time was the beginning of October 2023. I drove myself this time, upon handing my keys over I said I have my adderall prescription locked by itself in my glove box please do not touch that, this is my private property. I was assured by the lead tech(Jared Barker) that it wouldn’t be touched or admitted as my medication, I requested this as I knew once given to them they destroy any and all controlled substances regardless of prescription. Come to find out that was not the case and when I left my medication was nowhere to be found. So quite a bit of unprofessional behavior occurred, a long story I’ll do my best to summarize it up. There is a new director of operations(Michael) and the past one(Josh) whom is the person whom opens up this company’s new centers. So getting to the point.. I was admitted to grand falls, everything was going well. A couple days after, things slowly took a turn for the worse. For lack of a better word I began being harassed by Michael via his employees. I was given narcan on day 2 told that Michael had ordered them to(I was and am absolutely fine with this) as I was still visibly feeling the drugs I took before admission. I then was continually questioned if I was under the influence and constantly searched. Come day four or five I was then told I was being told to leave I was told via my counselor that Michael was kicking me out due to suspicion of use. Confused and upset I asked to talk with Josh whom is known for being much more professional than what I was experiencing with Michael. I asked Josh what had changed and why I was being asked to leave, he told me I should have never made it past the phone call with admissions due to the fact that typically people only are granted admission twice. He said that they tend to refer people in my situation of twice attending any single of their centers. He claimed that obviously something wasn’t working at this center for a client at the point of a third admission, that they want people to have access to their other centers or even a different group of facilities all together. The curriculum point Josh made, I agree with. What I don’t agree with or understand is why I was admitted and let go. Also how I was being punished although I was admitted in the first place since he made the point that I should have never made it past the phone call. This place was great when it was being ran by Josh Anderson now it’s a complete disaster and Michael is ruining all the good things and ways of operating that Josh set into place. At this point in this centers leadership I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I’m deeply saddened that my time here was pointless and that I was kicked out because of...

If you have a loved one you would like to recover from alcohol or drugs- if you would like to recover and start the process of detoxing from alcohol or drugs… Grand Falls Recovery Center is exactly the program I highly recommend. I have been to more than 30+ programs across the United States, both secular and non secular, this is by far the top rated program I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to.

It is very unique for a program to have even hinted on attachment styles, trauma, and mental illnesses. Grand Falls definitely stands out for even coming across those issues that keeps us trapped in the cycle.

I would love to have a shout out for miss Stephanie and Maddi. They really keep the groups interesting, and lively while staying on the topic of what they are teaching. The creativity they have both shown is personable, and unique.

Miss Amber goes above and beyond to meet the needs of families -the client, and I commend her on her patience and diligence. She made the Fourth of July very comfortable for those that were missing their families. Her hard work and creativity I pray doesn't go unnoticed.

The detox process was the most comfortable I’ve been through that process. There is staff on board 24 hours to meet the needs for night terrors, tremors, and and medical or mental health concern you can think of.

They offer family therapy, and my husband and I have squashed issues that have been between us since before we got married. I feel better about my relationship with him and on better terms with him than I ever have been.

A typical day at Grand Falls starts off with a well balanced breakfast with multiple options (this is also for lunch and dinner). Then they give you time to smoke a cigarette, and get ready to start the day off in group therapy.

During group sessions, the facilitator educates, moderates, and helps us to find the buried stuff beneath that keep us wanting to medicate one way or another.

There’s such a good family setting here- within the staff and clients. We often played volleyball, basketball, cards, video games and the list goes on and on.

There is a gym, sauna, copper tub, infinity shower, and back massages available to us before or after groups.

This program also offers brain mapping therapy also known as brain paint therapy. This is the first and only program I’ve ever known to do this which is huge!

If you want to send your loved one to a program that you can trust, this is the program that I recommend as my top #1.

Thank you Grand Falls Staff!

My experience at Grand Falls Center for Recovery was unexpected and amazing, I knew I needed to try something different because my way was not working anymore. I came into Grand Falls only wanting a medical detox but the 30 day treatment there was the absolute best thing I could have done for myself and my family. The staff are some of the best people you will meet, everyone is caring, compassionate, and professional. The amenities, copper tub, infinity shower, massages, amazing meals, and theater were welcome comforts. The group classes were full of helpful tools and skills that I carry with me still today to assist me in my continued sobriety and the leaders are educated, kind, and helpful. Some of the things I liked there are that you could use nicotine, they provide a well-structured environment, the one on one individual counseling, and the case workers are very helpful in supporting you as well. There is also great bonding and camaraderie between clients, and I never felt like I was alone in what I was going through. Some things I did not like about Grand Falls were that there was one class, that as a Christian made me feel uncomfortable and it was a class utilizing meditation and reading from a book incorporating Buddhist practices into recovery, though there was an option to attend Yoga instead of that class for those not wanting to participate. Also, the individual I spoke to before I entered Grand Falls was misleading about phone and computer use. I brought my laptop but it was locked up upon arrival, as well as my phone. (Staff do work with you any time you need to take care of things using your phone for business and bills and family issues) and I do honestly feel like I was able to use my phone any time it was necessary, You also get phone calls throughout the week. Though before arriving I was under the impression that I would physically have my phone with me throughout treatment, I think that Grand Falls does need to be more clear about that situation because it can cause distrust and confusion. Overall Grand Falls saved my life and I like many other reviews say, I kind of felt sad upon leaving, like I was leaving beloved family members. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for sobriety and a new joyous way to life free...
