An ever changing wonder of nature! I drive over it almost every day and the wondrous change of seasons is a pleasure to witness. The Platte River is a fun River to go to if you want to just hang out floating on a raft or an inner tube in the summertime it is a lot of fun to go with a bunch of friends take a lunch some drinks and just hang out on the river it's so relaxing peaceful and quiet there are also a couple of places where you can take airboat rides on for a reasonable price or if you have a canoe you can also take canoes down the river or small motor boats although it is full of sand bars and not very deep in a lot of places a motorboat would not be...

Spent alot of time on the Platte fishing and mushroom hunting. I have a lot of great memories on the river with my dad, grandfather, and uncles hunting ducks, fishing for catfish, and hiking in the woods. I haven't done so in many years and I miss it.
