This is such a neat place to experience and explore. The architecture, design, climbable treehouses, woodworking areas and beautiful slabs of wood are all amazing to look at. The prices for things in the actual shop are STEEP but definitely one of a kind. I don't recommend taking young children that don't listen well inside the gift shop due to easily knock-overable expensive items. However the treehouses are impeccably made and super fun for kids 4+ depending on their ladder climbing skills. Find funny faces in the trees and random bits of reused stuff. This place is super fun and cool and is the ideal place to go if you want amazing hand crafted wood items. Their parking was very interesting... We parked along the road after driving around some tight spaces looking for a parking spot. I think I saw a parking lot on the other side of the building but I'm not certain....

This place is amazing. You might drive right by it with a sort of huh that was weird thought, but go back! Park and peruse the store. Who makes all that stuff? The people who live out back on the side of the site, and work in the workshop across the yard. What do they make? Whatever they want. Then go check out the house attached to the shop. It was built by the founder of the place, with help from the artisans who live there. Then go through the yard and check out the wood, peek in the workshop and strike up a conversation with one of the artists. Last - go up the treehouse, and then go across to the other way and stop into the tiniest shop between the main shop and furniture shop before your final stop in the furniture shop. You might peek also at the places where the artisans live, and then you will have experienced a totally...

This is an amazing gallery of burl woodworking, definitely worth a visit. Prices are steep, but you can be sure you're getting a one of a kind masterpiece. The property has lots to see: there are several tree houses, lots of finished and unfinished wood pieces, and a shed where you can pick your own unfinished slab of wood for whatever purpose you desire. The staff is extremely helpful, and the kind man who helped us with our purchase (we selected a piece of unfinished wood to turn into a serving platter, and several premade coasters) explained how they finish their pieces and how we should clean, sand and finish our platter.
