Ross Automotive Inc — Local services in Grantsville

I took my Ford F150 to Ross Automotive because the A/C was no longer blowing cold air. They were able to diagnosis and confirm that the compressor needed to be replaced. We decided to proceed with them as we were quoted $400 less than two different shops in Tooele. Once the part was received, they had it done that same day. Unfortunately, a week after the repair, my truck started doing the same thing and was no longer blowing cold air. As frustrating as it was, I did realize it was beyond their control and no fault of the shops, things happen. I took it back to them with the obvious concern that I would need to shell out even more money on an already expensive repair to get it working again. The owner evaluated my vehicle and kept in close contact on what he was seeing and possible different reasons it could’ve failed. They ordered a new compressor to eliminate that it wasn’t due to a faulty part and replaced it. I’m happy to report that I have a functioning A/C again and was not charged a single penny. It’s so refreshing to experience a honest business that stands by their service/products and values their customers. I live right down the street from these guys, so convenience is definitely "small town!" They recently reorganized and refurbed the building they are leasing and the waiting area is very nice. That said, they have worked on 3 of my 4 vehicles and one of them is our UTA Vanpool van - the work they have done on it has been w/out issue.. So far, they have not done any major work but the work they have performed has been done very well. They are 1 of the 2 places in Gville open on Saturday but it is their weekend mechanic who mans the front desk so be patient as they are usually a one man shop on Saturday. I've taken my car here since I moved into town. I was down on my luck and was terrified of getting work done, after having past problems with older cars and other mechanics in the SLC valley. The team is very friendly and made me feel less scared about getting my car looked at. They've been honest and patient when I've been unsure on what to do. I've never had a better running car, and I feel brave enough to take on the open road as much as I need.
