I would like to start off being positive. The store is clean and well stocked. I've never had a bad cashier experience here just had one issue with mislabeling of a price in many years of shopping. However y'all need to get control of your deli department. I went to get meat sliced yesterday stood there for a VERY long time. Both of the deli workers looked directly at me and straight ignored me.. didn't even say I'll be with you in a bit or anything...just totally ignored me. This is not the first time as last time I went there was a person in front of me in line who just got mad and left. A woman was over at the hotbox asking for fish and they said they only had two pieces left. They did not offer to even cook her anymore until she flat out asked them herself if they would cook more and then was told that it would take more than 45 minutes. I mean this was right at 6pm..I would think deli wouldn't close until 7 or 8.They kept spewing off about being shorthanded which I'm confused about as I sometimes stop in during morning rush and see two people back there getting work done. I went back over to deli to get something out of the case in front and the girl was sweeping the floor and knowing I had already settled for another brand of lunch meat then all the sudden asked me if I needed anything. It was obvious I didn't and that's exactly why she asked after directly ignoring me previously. WE LIVE IN HASKELL AR AND OUR HARPS STORE THERE IS AMAZING! WE PROCEEDED TO GO TO SERVICE COUNTER BECAUSE THERE WAS 2 MALE EMPLOYEES STANDING THERE AND A EMPLOYEE ON THE PHONE .WE PLACED OUR ITEMS ON COUNTER AND THE EMPLOYEE ASK WHAT WE NEEDED .WE SAID WE NEED TO CHECKOUT.HE JUST STOOD THERE AND THEN HE SAID I GUESS I CAN.HE WAS OBVIOUSLY PUT OUT.SO MYHUSBAND explained the line was so long. HE THEN FINALLY CALLED FOR AN EXTRA CHECKER.HE THEN LOOKED AT US AND MY HUSBAND SAID ARE YOU GOING TO CHECK US OUT .HE STARTED BUT WAS NOT HAPPY. THE OTHER MAN JUST STOOD THERE .WHEN THE FEMALE EMPLOYEE WAS FINISHED WITH HER PHONE CALL SHE HELPED US MOVE OUR PRODUCTS AND WAS VERY NICE. SHE APOLOGIZED .    Read moreI enjoy shopping here. There are larger stores in my area that I use as well, but that is mainly because they have items not carried at my local Harps.
The staff is always friendly and helpful, and on the few occasions that I have had to ask for assistance, I'm treated more like an old friend, than just the next customer.
Additionally, there is no self checkout. They still have cashiers, and call more associates as needed. I prefer this interaction, vs having some 20 something kid supervise me doing what should be their job.
I have not had any issues with the quality of their products, and the price of groceries is as reasonable here as it is...
