Paupack Hills Golf Course — Local services in Greene Township

This was my 1st time playing there today. The starter told me there was no range and the front 9 was closed due to it being aerated so I had to play the back 9 twice. I figured since I've never played there before it wasn't a big deal..but he told me it was "wide open" out there, so I stayed and played. Had he been truthful about the groups that were really out there I probably would have left. By the 2nd tee I caught a group of 3 women. They let me through after another hole or so. Then I caught another group after the next hole. I ended up catching 5 groups! It was FAR from wide open! Thankfully they all were nice andet me right through. I played in about 3 hours. I played the tips and hit driver only once or twice. The course was not easy the greens were small with NO room if you missed the green, anywhere! The greens themselves were very nice and a bit quick. The fairways where there was grass were nice, but there were many places where they were not in good shape. The tee boxes weren't great either. They said the previous owner let it go and it was closed for about 2 years. The parts that are good are very nice. I bet in another year or 2 it will be in great shape. The views were great! Lots of elevation changes as well. I wouldn't go back again for 2 years to allow them to get the course back into tip top shape. Decent track but I'd like to see what else is nearby. For the $55 though, I'm glad I stayed...

Course was great, we really enjoyed ourselves. Other players were friendly and the staff was awesome. Very welcoming team who makes sure that you have a great experience. There are also some challenging holes that we really liked. The only caution is to be aware of the drunk guy in the blue 4 seater golf cart. He lives in the community and came flying down the fairway while we were playing to harass our group. Super aggressive and threatening but definitely harmless. Paupack Hills is an absolute gem and it's great to see this course coming back to life! New management is putting in a tremendous amount of effort, and the transformation the course has undergone since being closed for over a year is remarkable. The greens are in great shape and the pin positions make this course a challenge each time I play. This course is such an asset to the Lake Wallenpaupack area, and I'm looking forward to seeing the continuous...
