AMC CLASSIC Towne Crossing 8 — Local services in Greeneville

This theater is really scraping the bottom of the barrel, from seats that haven't been updated in 20 years, to sticky floors, to being understaffed. We went to see a movie today and the air conditioning and sound in the theater wasn't working. We went twice to the front to alert them. The first time, the employees just looked at us (one was on his phone and didn’t even bother to put it down) and didn’t say anything. The second time, the employee said "the sound should work after 30 minutes. I don't know what to tell you about the air." We sat in silence and humidity throughout the previews, then left when the movie started still without sound or air conditioning. When we went to the front to request a refund and told the cashier our issues, he said "That's not something I can control." They eventually found a manager who told me "Well this is the first I'm hearing about the sound not working." When I told him we had gone to the front to alert employees twice, he again repeated "First I'm hearing of it." He also said that the sound is on a timer and would turn on after 30 minutes. I asked "So you're expecting us to believe it's normal not to have sound during the previews", and he responded with some kind of technical answer about the timer. I left after being refunded, and the manager never acknowledged our issues or apologized for our experience. AVOID this theater and save yourself the disappointment; try Morristown or Johnson...

I have always loved this movie theater but tonight I was so disappointed with them. We (me my husband and our 4yr old son) went to the 7pm showing of super man in theater 4 everything was great until my son needed to go to the restroom. I took him to the ladies room right next to our theater and it was absolutely disgusting I would have taken pictures but I didn't bring my phone to the movie and I'm not being overly dramatic there was poop on toilets one with a female product left on the seat the other was about to overflow it was really really bad then there was no soap and no paper towels. I went to the front and I told them very nicely and discreetly that the bathroom was out of sorts and they said they would take care of it. Well again sometime during the movie my son needed the restroom and off we went to find it exactly as it was before so I was like no let's go to the other bathroom which was tapped off with a hand written sign that said to use the bathroom by theater 4. I wasn't about to take my child back to that bathroom so we went on in the bathroom that was taped off and that bathroom was spotless absolutely clean stocked and had soap and paper towels but wasn't available for use the entire night. Went to see “love dogs this evening . The wrong movie was listed on the overhead . We sat through all the previews and when Mama mia came on we realized we were in the wrong theatre . When my friend found an employee their statement was ‘ oh I guess I could have told you “. We missed the first part of the movies . No apologies. The bathrooms are dirty , no paper towels in either holder . Toilets haven’t been cleaned in awhile . The employees are always huddled in the corner talking and there is usually on anout two people at counter , one cashier and one getting concessions , no matter how busy they are . Hardly ever anyone taking tickets and directing you to which movies is where , (hence the issues this evening ) , on the weekend an employee was squatted down next to butter station with his cell phone and his ear buds in , didn’t even look up when we went through , Although the employees are. Never rude , they needs better management and housekeeping , this theatre alas over all really went downhill .
