Dollar General — Local services in Greeneville

Some nice employees and some not so much. Higher employee turnover rate than the 4 corners gas station. Store is usually so jam packed with giant stock carts (non stop) and lined up front to back everywhere, you usually can not even get down a lot of aisles with your cart let alone get many items off a shelf being all blocked by the tons of carts. One of the worst stocked local DG's in the area for whatever reason. When they are out of something, it is usually out for weeks and then some at a time. Who knows, everything I am looking for is probably on the stock carts all over the store and in the back that never get put on the shelves LOL. Also tons of misplaced items in wrong spots and not priced all over the store. It is sad, I usually now drive to town or ashville hwy like I used to do before we got our store that is now in a constant state of disarray, disaster and confusion. Odds are the store is under staffed (giving benefit of the doubt), Hell, our store has actually been closed early more than once cuz they had nobody to work. roll up at 5:30pm and a note on the door says CLOSED LOL. I am not trying to rip on the few good employees they have(you know who you are) but the lazy ones have dug a hole so deep for so long and have killed that store. Also there is a different supervisor every other week it seems as well and sometimes it seems there is none at all LOL (because none of them want to stay at that store, are expected to work endless hours and days and many of them told me that personally before they quit or transfered). I do not see how our store can be in the disastrous, inexcusable shape it is when 95% of the time every other local store is as it should be...functional and shoppable. If anyone from corporate walked in that store they would fire everyone, close it down and demolish it the next day. Sadly as of today, it is among the worst DG's I have ever been in, in a long, long time and loathe going in there...

Highly upset with this store! This store is on my way home so it is convenient for me, but there is nothing convenient inside the store! Every time I go there they're always out of the cat food that I need, the shelves are always empty of not only cat food, but pretty much everything, there are metal stock holders usually all along the back wall where you can't get to anything that you need that's on those shelves. And the things that you need are you just still on the metal holders there's stuff always in the way in the aisles and they used to have employees that kept the place nice neat and straightened up and things out of your way and the stock was always put on the shelves they have two new managers a male and a female the male is usually good he's usually the one stocking whenever they do stock so obviously either when they have people there working they're either lazy and don't want to stock the shelves or they don't have enough people working there to cover stocking the shelves and running the register. That is a very busy Dollar General, they need two people working the registers and at least one or two people stocking the shelves and I really feel that until something like this is done I will not be going back...

In the past, since this store opened, this Dollar General was by far my favorite store. I loved the aisle configuration, it was always clean, employees exceptional. Then the manager was transferred out approximately 1-1/2 years ago (?) and everything was downhill after that. Employees now cannot make change even when they can read it on screen (today was a good example, could not count 90 cents in change!!!), the aisles are trashed, shelves empty, empty and full boxes lying around, many full storage carts blocking shelves, whole store in disarray. I had two questions and no one could answer. They were both very simple and easy queations.. Are things on rack outside on sale. Why is a certain candy always "out of stock"? I used to buy a certain candy there at least twice a week. It has now been months since it is available. The answer to both questions was "I don't know!! I am so very disappointed that the store has become a low class difficult store. Please get our neighborhood a great store as it used to be. Thank you so much for...
