If you are a lady and don’t know nothing about cars don’t go there, I got my tires done there last year 7/1/24, not too long after i went there complaining about a noise on my truck, and I tell them I can’t tell where the noise is coming from but it always happens when I hit the breaks, of course like usual they don’t really have time for folks, and says it’s probably the breaks “they didn’t look at the truck or test drive it” we can’t fit you in today, but we can send you to our other store (grease monkey) so he calls them and tell them there’s a lady coming to get her breaks done, I go there they do my breaks I didn’t really hear much and I have a car so I hardly drove the truck , so I neglected the noise which came back again, so this weekend 6/14 I go to Columbia to move my cousin stuff and one of the nut lug broke on front passenger side leaving me with just one because the other 3 had unscrewed a while back and that’s what was making the noise, i call the insurance, tow the truck to the nearest tire shop, there supervisor tells me he don’t want to touch it because if he takes everything off and there is more problems then the blame falls on him did anything happen he asked, I tell him no except the car started shaking bad on the high way I had to pull over, he tells me to take it where I got my tires put on, I said to him I got it done in greenwood, he says well call them, I called no answer at this point I start begging him please my cousin is starting school Monday, please just do something if anything go wrong it’s on me, so the man ended up fixing it and charges me 354. I’ve never had this problem before to where my tire is about to fall off. I come to barrett they tell me anything could’ve Happen with in the one year so they couldn’t do nothing for me.I’ve not had any accidents with the truck nor a flat tire, I’m the only driver and unless I have something to move I don’t drive the truck do to gas, they didn’t even try to look at the tire or nothing, the picture don’t do it justice but the tires look new. They’ve been dismissive to a lady on the phone before while I was in their shop so I wasn’t surprised. Anyway it’s a lesson learned at any small noise I’m taking my vehicle to the shop and won’t stop digging till the noise is gone, cause this could’ve cost me my life or the...
Read moreNot the same since the new owners took over. They sunk my lug in so far they couldn’t get it my tire off. The manager said he needed to talk to me about my tire, walked me to my car then walked off and didn’t even consult me about what had happened. Another mechanic came over and told me I’d have to take my car to a another mechanic then bring it back to get the tire changed. After scratching my rim. It’s ridiculous a “tire shop” couldn’t figure out how to get it off. I will never go back there. Tire costs are too high and customer service is terrible. They should change the name to something else - this is not Barrett’s Tire any longer. If I could give this half a star I would!
And the fact that the idiots that work there are responding to negative comments with sarcasm and LOLs prove how unprofessional this place...
Read moreEarlier this month, I took my 2011 Kia to Barrett's after having a couple of friends recommend them. My brakes were making this awful hissing sound whenever I applied them, and even after a took my foot off. I called and explained the issue. I was told what it could possibly be and was given an estimate. I dropped my car off and went to work. They called to let me know what the problem was and the cost...it was exactly what they estimated. I was very pleased with their professionalism and amazing service. I'll definitely take my car back to them for any other issues...
