My sister went shopping for wedding gowns there and it was not a good experience. It was almost as if the person helping my sister didn't really want to sell her a dress. If you are looking for the normal bridal shopping experience don't go to this place. Anything that was provided my sister was reluctantly given after we made the request. She was not shown a veil or shoes. Finally, I asked that she be shown a veil. The lady helping my sister didn't know the difference between a chapel veil vs. a cathedral train veil. She actually tried telling me that there was no such thing as a chapel veil and that the veil I was describing was really a cathedral veil. I was describing a chapel length veil. She also claimed that she lost the measurements that she took of my sister for the wedding gown fitting. Even though there was a dress my sister liked there, we definitely will be purchasing elsewhere, because they did not give a welcoming or friendly experience. I am very surprised that they have such high google reviews. However, I am reminded that businesses are now asking their customers to go online and rate their rate business as high. Very disappointing experience and I feel that some of their dresses are overpriced and not reflective of what the wedding dress market bears. If you are shopping for a wedding gown, go elsewhere! I needed a last minute dress, because the dress I had just was not fitting right. We hunted high and low and I couldn’t find anything I liked. We drove a couple of hours and went everywhere looking and trying on dresses. Finally, I called Engagements and they were able to make a same day appointment for me! I walked in that afternoon (just 30 minutes before closing) and the second dress I tried on was THE ONE! They stayed open late for me and pinned my dress for the perfect fit and will have it altered and steamed in time for wedding (which is less than two weeks away!). I could not have been happier with the dress I got, as forlorn and sad as I was thinking I was going to have to walk down the aisle in a brown paper sack! The whole day had been depressing and the ladies at Engagements completely changed that! This was not the experience I expected for my first time saying yes to a dress when I went to pick out my dress I had two ladies. One young and the other was a bit older. The young lady I think was new she was very sweet but the other lady wasn’t friendly at all and I felt like she was rushing if I’m not mistaken she was a manger.
