Imperial Yeast - West Coast — Local services in Gresham

I purchased a can of Imperial Yeast due to the excellent cell count and I loved the fact that you could recycle the packaging, rather than tossing the plastic packaging of competitors' products. After a slow start to fermentation I contacted Imperial and spoke to Casey who provided the best customer service I have received in some time. She was very pleasant and engaging to speak with and I could tell she was passionate about brewing. She proved to me that they stand by their products and will make it right if there are any issues whatsoever. My fermentation is now rocking and rolling and I could not be more pleased. I don't usually write reviews, but Casey and Imperial definitely care about their product and the customers who purchase their product. Wow, the review from this BJ guy sure is whiny. With a name like that, I guess you'd have to be angry all the time. First of all, read the instructions. Second of all, don't shake the can. Third, if you want to see quicker activity out of your yeast, make a starter.

I just bought my fourth can of Imperial and I can say that this stuff is awesome. I've used the A24 Dry Hop twice for my APA and it showcases the hops better than any other strain I've used. the A01 House attenuated amazingly in my SMaSH beer, and I'm going to use the A20 Citrus for my homegrown wet hop beer tomorrow.

Not only is Imperial Yeast the sole supplier of truly organic brewing yeast, they also provide at least double the amount of viable yeast cells per package that their competitors provide. They have classic strains as well as some truly unique strains, all of which make AMAZING beer. To top it all off, their customer service is impeccable. I emailed them a question, and Owen called me from his personal cell phone to chat. Would Wyeast do that?? Probably not. If you are a commercial or home brewer and you haven't tried Imperial, you are making a mistake. They are the BEST!
