Fareway Stores — Local services in Gretna

I love this store. Living in Gretna for 34 years, this is a huge plus to the town. I walked in there tonight at 7:30pm and did my normal shopping as I do every other night and I was the only person in there. I get everything I need, no issues. Get to the self checkouts and I had minor issue with taking a bag off the scale too quick. Although not alerted, an employee came over to see what the issue was. After that, things went down hill. I continued on with my business, still with no issue. There is about 6 employees standing at the cash registers looking at me. Then I hear one of them over the loud speaker call for extra help at the self checkout. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON AT THE SELF CHECKOUT!!!! I felt like a thief! Like I was totally being watched for being completely innocent! Then, they insisted on this kid to help me carry out my groceries, which is not a big deal at all. But he got an earful, and I feel terrible as it was not his fault. But it makes me feel as though I never want to go back to Fareway. What a...

Clean nice store! Good prices but customer service at check out it horrendous. I literally got stalked all the way to my car because this poor girl who was pushed to follow me after I said I will bring back my cart inside and everything that I just want my space. It was a serious non appropriate/respectful boundary issue with their “policy” . However peoples space should be respected period. The car lot isn’t big or anything. And customers should feel that their space is respected. These are kids they are teaching to not respect personal space/boundaries and that is a serious ew. I walked with this girl who was forced to follow me as I heard her manager tell her since it’s not her fault. And let’s just say I was extremly unimpressed with this said managers behavior. I’m a business owner myself and I would never force my employees to do something they don’t feel is right or okay. Other than that issue it’s fine. But my family and I will just go to target or Walmart Atleast since boundaries arnt...

I recently visited Fareway Meat & Grocery in Gretna, Nebraska, and I was very impressed with the meat selection. I was able to find a cowboy ribeye that was absolutely phenomenal. The steak was perfectly marbled, and it was cooked to perfection. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had and was a great accompaniment to our 4th of July weekend celebration.

In addition to its excellent meat selection, Fareway Meat & Grocery also has a wide variety of other grocery items. We love to shop local and this is our preferred Fareway location.
