My kids (one is 7 and the other is turning 5 next month) just finished their first week of summer camp in Indian Hill Music today and it was such a wonderful experience - they even had their first ever orchestra on stage!! They were able to try out a variety of instruments during the camp, had many music-related activities, made great friends, and had a lot of fun!!
My younger one had a really hard time to adjust on day 1 and day 2, as she just graduated from a daycare center last Friday and it's a huge change for her (no more naps, need bring her own lunch/snacks, learning instead of caring environment etc, and I put her to a full day option...). It was very overwhelming to her and I was also stressed as I absolutely don't want her first time ever summer camp turns out to be a negative experience. The director Peter, camp manager Michael, the office staff, and even the interns all spent time with her to help her adjust. Especially their piano and flute teacher Pei who was tremendously helpful to calm her down, introduced her to classroom settings, and made sure she's taken good care of in all aspects. I just cannot thank Pei enough and my younger one refers Pei as her favorite teacher!
Right now the kids are a bit upset that this week's camp is already over, and they cannot wait to come back again for more fun and more performances on stage. I highly recommend Indian Hill's summer camp programs and will for sure come back for more...

Built by the same team that created the gorgeous and acoustically awesome Shalin Liu in Rockport, the main venue of Groton Hill displays some of the same touches and acoustic accuracy, but on a larger scale and as part of a much larger overall facility, complete with classrooms, offices, event spaces. additional performance spaces, and a huge and well-run parking facility on premises.
Every person I spoke to - and many are volunteers - was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly proud to be a part of this cultural icon. The beverage selection was good, the seats pretty comfortable, and the sound was as good as one would hope.
10/10 will absolutely...
