Fun attractions and mostly fun vendors, but no reason to be this political. At multiple events, they seem to welcome numerous vendors selling politically-charged items with very vulgar and graphic imagery and language on them--and absolutely in front of children. A lot of additional political components to events, including excessive lobbying and pestering of attendees for such, are very unnecessary and uncomfortable for what should be fun family events devoid of political discourse. Additionally, some ride operators at fairs could use severe attitude adjustments, and there's absolutely zero reason the petting zoo people should own, let alone be showing off in small cages, exotic animals like zebras and kangaroos.
