EL SABOR CHILANGO — Restaurant in Florida

I’ve driven by El Sabor Chilango (“Taste of Mexico”) in Webster, FL hundreds of times and never thought about stopping until a friend praised it as the best Mexican food he’d ever had.

That made sense since I noticed cars parked there whenever I passed by. A good sign. Right? I pulled in on a Friday afternoon and had a chance to look at the menu while two men ahead of me placed their orders.

Jose and Manuela are the hardworking owners. I ordered the recommended two burritos and three quesaburrias that came with soup. After paying with my credit card, I left with a heavy, fragrant package.

We were amazed at the quantity of food. We split one of the enormous burritos, one of the quesaburrias and half of the rich, flavorful soup with leftovers for two more meals. It is obvious that the food is prepared from scratch: chunks of tomato, chicken, pepper and onion; the flavors are distinct.

Patrons can eat on site under a shaded canopy with protection from the hot Florida sun. Potted flowers add a colorful touch. The parking area is large and level.

This is a food truck with outside picnic table seating covered and fans! It’s absolutely wonderful! They were playing Mexican music which added to the ambiance! The owner and his family were so nice! He came out and chatted with us to make sure the food was good! It was better than good, it was OFF THE HOOK DELICIOUS!!! I had a chicken quesadilla, which was absolutely amazing. The food is delicious! I will drive past all the other food trucks to get to this spot. I have gone down the menu each time getting my favorites and trying something new and I’ve never been disappointed. The portions are more than generous, it’s hot with fresh ingredients. The last time I got the Queso Birria and strawberry aqua, drive 20 minutes to get my daughter and went back for more. The owners are so kind and the prices good. I recommend...
