I'm not the type to discriminate or dislike something because of one bad event. I give this a very fair rating because every time I come here there is some new update the the concession stand and quality of the movies. The only issue I really had were some of the residents watching the movie where they would turn on there lights and leave them on for a long amount of time, and hard to hear the movie when sitting outside (which isn't the drive-ins fault). There was also an instance where a truck load of people turned on a blue LED light and blared it across the back row and made a large number of viewers uncomfortable and annoyed. Otherwise it is a very 80's themed drive-in, very nice for the family and or Date Nights, humid weather so make sure to get gas before going and keep your A.C. on unless you're a humid weather lover. I'm pretty sure everyone sneaks food in there and they also buy food from the concession, I'm also positive the man who lives there in the theater, (yes, that's true) knows that people sneak in food, but it's a courtesy to not show the food out and be rude or to buy something from the concession. It's just a tradition you'd have to experience first hand there. Again, very nice place. I recommend 3 people per car for best viewing experience, pricing is cheap while getting to view newest movies. Wish they would sell funnel cake though, I'd...
Read moreI absolutely Loved the whole experience! Everyone was nice and friendly. The movies were awesome as well. I have to say though the restroom leaves a lot to be desired. Also there were a Lot of cars n trucks with lights on n off through the entire movie! Can we have a little respect?!? Well I gotta say the second movie was better ... All the young people had to go home.. that left about 6 or 8 vehicles to deal with and they did not bother us. When the other movie got finished it was troubling but not for long and many of the cars coming n going during the second movie turned their lights off. Overall I still had a blast! The movies were great too we watched Snake Eyes and the Quiet Place 2. I'm already looking forward to going back, maybe trying other drive ins in our state especially since we love to travel anyway! This one was closest at 1.5 hours away. We did eat locally and met lots of great people along the way!...
Read moreI enjoy going to the drive in and was so happy to see that there was still one standing when I moved here to Ala 7 years ago.. There has been a lot of changes to this drive in since I first started going, but that is to be considered. With time, comes changes or so they say. However, I was really disappointed when I went last night to see the movie NOAH.. Granted the ratings of the movies are no fault of theirs, however, what is their fault if the freshness of the food they are selling. I had asked about the popcorn and when it was popped last, and the man waiting on me got a bit snappy, and said he didn't know when it was made, that it's better when it's not fresh anyhow, not as chewy. Well, after that, I just said thank you and walked away disappointed.. I always enjoy coming here for the popcorn, as I always thought it to be the best. Oh well, guess that to is...
