When I only have an hour to eat I must make sure my uniform has 0 rips and tears aswell as no stains unless I want to be asked to leave by staff. I must also make sure I need to smell good or I may get sniffed by staff and told to leave aswell.
It has been an ongoing problem with multiple different organizations in trying to get all of they're people fed but they must keep worrying about being turned away and having to pay out of pocket while this facility proceeds to dig their hands into the pockets and taking the BAS from everyone who isn't a high enough rank or isn't married or with dependents.
It isn't fair that we must loose out on time to eat just because our professions keep our uniforms dirty, I understand if the concept of doing work that gets you messy is foreign to the staff but it shouldn't be grounds as to not give us a proper chance to eat.
Almost everyday they turn us away for more and more ludicrous reasons and they proceed to make rude and unprofessional comments. if the option were to be approved by the organizations I would receive my BAS and never eat here again just out of sheer principle that I don't wish to eat in a establishment that believes it ok to make their patrons feel ashamed for not focusing more on their uniform then their appearance.
This galley's staff shows none of the core values of the Navy nor do they show any aspect of a 21st Century sailor but have no problem showing disrespect for the shipmates that they agreed to support, I am more than disappointed that this has been allowed to happen and hope that this will...
Read moreThe galley food is fine, but the food they send to the range is 1 piece of fruit, 1 bag of chips, 1 uncrustable, 1 nutrigrain bar, an a sandwich with 2 pieces of spinage, 1 slice of ham, if you're lucky you'll get a piece of cheese. No condiments. Considering the money they take, you'd think you'd get a little something more filling. The galley it's self is great, staff are kind and considerate and they don't limit you as much as other galleys. The place is clean and well kept. The lines aren't long, unless it's dinner and for some reason they only have one side open even though you have a whole army division stampeding in and stretching the line out the door and to the side of...
