NCBC Commissary — Local services in Gulfport

Not only have I been harassed once here but TWICE. The first time one of the staff members were asking for tips for helping me load my groceries. It made me feel very uncomfortable with my shopping experience. Second time another staff member kept harassing me at self check out. Again made me felt very uncomfortable to the point I had to speak to a manager. Told the manager whats been going on, she acted like she didn’t even care. That I didn’t even matter. It's a typical small base sized commissary reminds me a lot of paris island in south carolina.... It has everything you need, although it's a small variation of items and you can tell some of the meat has been sitting for a while.That's par for the course for the small base commissary... I was staying on base at the R.V park but I can always see some of these smaller commissaries on a smaller bases being shut down eventually because they just don't get the foot traffic from the younger generations...

So depressing. Unfortunately fits the depressing base and landscape that surrounds it.

Small, cramped and limited selection. Produce is hit or miss. No connection with the community. With the surcharge and tipping of baggers it’s just cheaper to go off base. Self check outs never always working.
