To whom it may concern and especially to the Sallee's Family-
I have been a more than satisfied customer for 25 or so years, not sure of the first time, but do remember it all started at their home just NW of the current location. As a big deer hunter back then and present, it was so important to find someone that took pride in cutting up the deer that I had worked so hard to take. I had met Pat in Guthrie one day in '86, and found out that they were processing and I have been a dedicated customer every year since about 1986. I have been fortunate to watch their children grow into fine upstanding adults as they worked hard during the deer season in their family business.
I have also been blessed to have become not only a customer but great friend to Pat, Jane and the boys of the family. God put us together for a reason and I am happy to recommend this great family and their business to every deer and elk hunter in Oklahoma. They are centrally located just right off of I-35 north of Oklahoma City, and real easy for anyone to make the trip to have the best processing of their game in the state.
I have also been happy to see them grow with other cuts of meat and sausages and such. It is just the way you would dream of your deer being processed. I want to close by saying that when you harvest a deer or elk and want to make sure that you get the animal you took, there is not doubt with Sallee's Processing, as they take pride in making sure that you are satisfied with your meat to take home just as you expected.
No doubt I will be in the shop this year and will start soon, as I have my first hunt coming up just next week with an elk hunt to New Mexico and will do as I have for the last 6 years, make the trip to Sallee's first and foremost when I return from the hunt this year.
You guys are the Best and keep up the good work, I am here for you anytime you need a reference.
Good Huntn!

Read moreHands down the best wild game processor around. They will ask you a lot of questions when you drop off your deer, and offer so many options, dont just get everything ground. They will give you whatever body parts you want back, the cape, ribs, neckbones (to make soup stock), but you need to ask. They have a "chicken fry" option for the backstrap, which worth trying and you can specify the size of your roasts, or ask for them to be shaved if you want to make your own jerky. If you have dietary restrictions, they can accommodate. I like my ground 100% venison, but they can add bacon. Pork or beef.. They also offer a course grind that I use for chili. They offer both Fresh and Smoked brats, I like fresh bacon mac & cheese and habanero mango brats. The smoked meats are out of this world, and they have samples to try. I enjoy cooking with the bologna, deer dogs, pepperoni, polish sausage, smoked cajun and deer bacon (which tastes like spam to me but is great on pizza) Don't forget to get some jerky and summer sausage, J&C summer is also a favorite. They have several flavors of snack sticks to choose from, I recommend to try them all, My favorite snack sticks are Honey Siracha and Bbq. They have a 24/7 drop off cooler (a reefer trailer) and are conveniently located just a mile west of i-35 at exit 151 in Guthrie. If you are interested in a Euro Mount, Travis does them in house, just pay a deposit when dropping off. Its easy to get carried away with all the options. Just bring cash or your checkbook. They dont just do antelope, deer, bison, elk and bear, but all wild game. Seen some exotics and high fence game dropped off, they are very skilled in processing anything...
Read moreSallee was highly recommended by a co-worker as I am pretty new to the area. We had a Muley processed over there and I was a bit dissapointed that I couldn't take it over there sooner as i had already de-boned the meat and they only had hanging space in the freezer, but it was worth the additional week or two wait. I got the polish and german sausages which were excellent, especially wrapped in some croissants for breakfast and the Jalapeno and Cheese Brats, which really don't taste much like traditional bratwurst, but they were really good anyway. The one thing that really surprised us the most was the chorizo fresh sausage. If you get the chance to have some of this processed, do it. It is so good cooked with some eggs in the morning for breakfast tacos. Also, we had the burger meat mixed with bacon ends, and this turned out really well as it smells like you are diving off into a bacon burger when you grill it. Overall I am pleased with the meat we got and will definitely go back if I need anything...
