Arrogant and condescending.
I only brought the car here because that’s where the remote start was installed and it’s not my car.
Remote stopped working so I went to get them checked out after I put new batteries in one and it still wasn’t working.
I was immediately accused of putting in cheap batteries and that’s why they weren’t working, even though I never replaced the batteries in the second remote that he admitted was completely dead and not working while the other was.
Agreed to pay the $15 per remote battery change charge just to make sure they were working before I left.
Tried to make conversation and asked if he had the upgrade takeover feature we could purchase. He didn’t know what that meant and when I explained it, he said it’s not possible. I said other brands have it and I’ve had 3 other cars and they all had it. (Same make and model) and I even installed them myself. He said there’s no way that’s possible on these cars and he’s been doing this job a long time and knows what he’s talking about.
I like to support local car businesses and was going to consider a speaker install in one of my other cars but I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Remote starters are super cheap and easy to install yourself, don’t waste your time or money here. Picture attached of a remote starter that has takeover features as well as a bunch of...
Read moreI bought a subwoffer, amp, and wiring harness from Thumpin car stereo on March 1st. I had it installed elsewhere because I knew that they charge ridiculous prices to install equipment. Today is March 25 and the subwoffer has already blown. I called and they said I had to contact the manufacturer and deal with them. So now not only did I pay $250 for a 10" speaker that has blown in less than a month I have to pay to ship it to a manufacturer that has no idea of the situation. I could understand if I had the speaker for several months or years but we are talking about 25 days and they won't exchange it. I should have went with my gut when I dealt with the rude owner when I was trying to just get info and prices when I bought it. He said they don't do estimates, but I was excited to finally get a system for my car from Thumpin'. Don't waste your money on these people. They are rude and only want your money. I should be able to come and exchange the speaker. I was told because I did not have them install it there was nothing they can do. This was not said when I purchased the equipment even when I told him I was getting it installed elsewhere. It also is not noted on the receipt I got. Very poor customer service. Make sure you get all info or you...
Read moreI met Brian through a referral from another business owner that sent a lot of his customers to. I have a CB radio that needed to be installed inside my Jeep wrangler. Brian was very sarcastic when I had asked him advice about wear he would install my CB radio and my speaker. He refused to give any advice. When I mentioned 2 locations he was against it. When I told him to do the wiring my speaker and wear at, He was very sarcastic to a point where this almost ended up add to a full argument. I said to Brian, it’s clear that you do not want to work on installing my CB radio in my Jeep. He says I’m not gonna waste 20 or 30 minutes explaining when he can install your radio when I have a paid customer to install a stereo radio in a luxury car.
So I was not a potential customer. I might not know about anything about electronics. I do know something about customer service and respecting people. He demanded $500 dollars to install my CB radio. I wasn’t trying to ask for free advice. I wanted to pay him to install my radio, and he was rather cruel in his words. I just couldn’t believe I walked in the shop to deal with this hateful man.
Something got lost here in America when you have a hateful store owner mistreating customers walking in his...
