My wife and I were at a Tractor Supply in Hagerstown, talking to the cashier about how we were looking to have pizza for lunch. He told us about this pizzeria and how good the pizza was. We decided to give a shot. We ordered garlic knots as an appetizer. They were delicious. They were crispy on the outside and warm and soft in the center. They were served on top of melted garlic butter sauce. Excellent! We ordered the meat lovers pizza with chopped red onions. We were very happy with the flavor and texture of the pizza. As former New Yorkers and New Jersyans, which we believe has some of the best pizzas in the country, we compare new pizzas from other states to NY and NJ. This was very close to being as good. Our server is the owner's son. He was very pleasant and friendly and made very good suggestions on what to try. The restaurant has approximately fourteen tables and was clean and comfortable. There is ample parking on their lot. Prices were a little above average for Hagerstown but worth it. We will be going back to try one of their pasta dishes and desserts. For those interested, they also serve wine. Highly recommend giving this...
Read moreThis was my 3rd time here and the food was okay. When I walked in to pick up my order; I wasn’t greeted or asked if i needed help by the guy Mike who was at the front. After a minute or so of me just standing there! a guy comes in behind me and (Mike) drops what he was doing, greets him immediately and asks if he is picking up an order. After that interaction a very sweet lady helps me. As I am waiting for my food again I notice that (Mike) seems to only ask the men if they are needing help as more customers come in. The first 2-5 minutes of service was terrible. Unfortunately That is really all it takes. I truly will not be spending any money here again. The ladies at the front are wonderful. (Mike) really needs some customer service training. There’s no business without...
Read moreCafe Italia is no longer the place it once was. Saddened after years of dedicated loyalty to find our pizza burnt. Burnt to such a point it snapped and cracked. Reason: busy Saturday night. There were ~12 people in the cafe. No apology, no new pizza, no credit, no accountability or responsibility, just busy. Zero customer service and poor business relations. The next generation seems to be running the operation, so I asked to speak with the father. I was told he was out of the country for a month. Wrong. He was at home, and he did nothing more than the son. Extremely disappointed. He and I have always gotten along since I first started going upon my moving to Hagerstown 20 years ago. From a Sicilian to an Italian, No Manga, No Manga. Will not...
