Lakeland Ace Hardware — Local services in Hamburg Township

As a Kiwi visiting all the way from New Zealand, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I popped into Lakeland Ace Hardware in Lakeland, Michigan—but what I found absolutely exceeded my expectations!

I came in looking for glue to fix the butt cap on my tennis racquet (a bit of an odd request, I’ll admit), and was immediately helped by a young man named Sean. Let me just say—Sean was fantastic. Polite, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, he walked me through Ace’s impressively large glue selection (who knew there were so many options?!), explaining the pros and cons of each type with real expertise.

Sean didn’t just try to sell me something—he genuinely wanted to help me find the right product for my specific issue. He even asked follow-up questions to make sure I got exactly what I needed. You don’t get that kind of service every day!

Sean is an absolute gem, and a credit to the store. I hope Ace knows how lucky they are to have him on staff. Thanks to his help, my racquet is as good as new, and I left the store with a smile on my face.

Ace Hardware truly lives up to its reputation for helpful, hometown service—and Sean made it a standout experience. If I lived here, this would definitely be my go-to hardware store.

They are close by and I only go here when I need something right away. They used to be a good hardware store. Things went south during the pandemic as they treated you like dirt when you walked in and made you leave if you didn't have one of those useless masks on. They had and nasty enforcer stationed at the door screening anyone that entered. That turned me off with this establishment and I try to shop elsewhere. Prices are extremely high for there fasteners. Better off at Hackney Hardware, Home Depot or Lowe's if they have what your looking for. They and the other Ace Hardware's in Howell, Brighton, Pinckney refuse to cut your key blank when you bring it in since they don't carry the...

I had a plumbing repair to make this morning. I had to purchase several fittings and pipes. I was helped by Morley, Jake and Grace. The service in this Ace Hardware store is second to none.
