Our Ladies Bible Study Group tries to take an annual day trip together and this year we chose to visit an alpaca farm. The farm is run by a family and they were great hosts, sharing with us facts and lessons on how to interact with the llamas. We had an absolute blast "feeding" baby carrots to the alpacas who are so gentle they will take them right out out your mouth! There were also chickens and four miniature donkeys. We didn't feel rushed at all and it was truly a memorable afternoon. We ended our visit with a trip to their gift shop above the barn where they had lavender tea with honey and cookies waiting for us. The gift shop was a relaxed atmosphere and the owner took the time to explain all the items for sale which almost all of it was from the alpaca fur. If you have a free afternoon, the trip to the farm is only about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Matamoras, PA. It's a nice drive. Stephanie and her husband, Anthony, made us feel right at home. If you cared you would of canceled knowing that your small driveway was in a decline and muddy. We didnt come to go offroading but to boondock overnight. The dogs being 12 , 2 or 20 is very irrelevant . But their complete ignorance is. Both are so rude and obnoxious. It took me a while to get my rig in and it took me hours to get it out after damaging my front left of the rv against their fence. Meanwhile they didn't even apologize or even offered to fix it. We had to call another pickup to help us out. Stephanie is a very obnoxious miserable individual that needs a check up from the neck up. Pour some concrete on that 200 yr old driveway before inviting harvest gueststNot recommended at all!! Karma is on...

I recently had the opportunity of staying overnight at this location and was greeted with open arms not only by the owners and staff, but by the animals (alpacas, mini-donkeys, and chickens)! It's obvious that all of these animals are incredibly loved and cared for by the staff and owners. Both staff and owners were incredibly friendly, helpful, and educated on all of the animals and their care/needs.
The gift shop had a great selection of items that simply cannot be purchased elsewhere. If you want a one of a kind experience, I cannot stress enough to visit L' Eradita Di Favale. Bring your family and friends, and you will have an amazing experience! I can't wait to go...
