Most responsive and detailed customer service I have experienced in any industry. I recently had an appliance cause water damage on an upper floor iof my home which found its way into my dedicated media room in the basement below. I called Pure Sight and sound to help with the repair. Mr Kmetz answered my call imedialty and spent signifigant time asking questions about the situation. Although Pure Sight and Sound was not the original installer of my theatre , he offered to come to my home the next day, even though the site is at least an hour drive from his location. He assessed the situation, was familiar with each and every piece of equipment we had and began his diagnostic exam. He presented me with several alternatives for replacement and indicated he can do whatever it took to repair and replace the damage. Subsequent to the home visit he contacted me daily to plan for the repair, provided options and alternatives as to how we can get back up and running. In a matter of days he sent an email quote/ proposal price of every single replacement component, the specs of each item, cost, labor and payment options. Prices are surprising reasonable especially since this is high quality equipment you will not find in the electronics stores. Those is the know are aware that the real high quality audio/video is not found on a shelf in your local big box store. It’s obvious Mr. Kmetz is the real deal and enjoys being on the cutting edge of the latestes technology. He knows what is and is not worthy of putting his stamp on. Ed Kmetz is DA MAN!!! I'm sitting here with a $1500 AV receiver that flashes if ANY signal is put thru it on my big screen...I had tried everything and I'm not a beginner to AV equipment. I had ruled out that the problem was any of the periphs and my screen. It had to be with the HDMI outputs. Soon, I was desperate and began looking at replacement receivers on Amazon. There was no way my wife would allow me to cough up another $1k or so. So before I hit the Submit Buy button I tried one last thing. I looked for a repair shop. BUT, no one repairs these things anymore. However, I did get a hit on Pure Sight & Sound. I filled out a free estimate form and sent it and went to bed a beaten man. Next morning Ed gives me a call. I was shocked. No one ever calls back. Anyway, after lamenting to Ed for nearly a half hour, he wanted me to try one more thing. Unplug the power cord from the Receiver and let it sit for a bit. After 15 min., I plugged it back in and TA-DA, IT WORKS!!! Ed could have been the type of merchant that tells you to bring it in and then he sits on it for a few months before applying the 30 second fix but then charges you $300 or more for the repair. We had been looking for a local audio/video based company in Stroudsburg to handle a rather complicated wiring and sound system implementation at our home which was under construction. Finding one was not an easy task but then we encountered a gentleman named Ed Kmetz from Pure Sight & Sound, Inc.
