It’s rare to get a second chance in life, but at Russo Music in Hamilton, NJ, it’s possible. Michael met me at the door and after asking me what I was looking for, he handed me the perfect “brand new” telecaster with a thicker neck profile and a Fender Mustang50 amp. The combination was perfect. When I said I loved it but it was out of my price range, he went and found the same guitar, used, less expensive, perfectly worn in, and came with a case, and a Mustang40 amp. Then I did what I’m sure many of us do sometimes especially when money is tight: I talked myself into a Tele Squier 40th anniversary that I really liked (still do, and highly recommend) but wasn’t in love with because it didn’t have the thicker neck profile that helped for my style of play. I also got the Mustang40 amp. Michael was very knowledgeable, a cool person too, not pushy, and understanding that I was trying to be “responsible.” Everyone at the store for that matter was so positive, they all seemed genuinely interested in what I was looking for and offering options. Today (a few days later and after obsessively playing the past few days) I got some unexpected good news that there was an error on my wife’s medical bill that had been hanging over our heads, meaning we owed much less. I called Russo, asked for Michael, and explained that nothing was wrong with the guitar I have but that “I have buyer’s remorse.” He said the used Tele was still available, and that they would let me exchange and pay the difference! I rushed to Russo almost at closing time (6:45 when they close at 7:00) and I walked out with the used thick neck profile Tele a few minutes later, after everyone welcomed me warmly. I’m thrilled. I got a rare second chance in life. And I plan on being a lifelong Russo customer. Going to look into lessons. They also have some awesome gear demos on their YouTube page that help explain pedals and effects, and much more! They’ve got me coming back and they deserve your business,...

They have one of the best repair shops in the NYC area,, I only let Russo work on my axes. I have 20 high end guitars and 4 basses and Matt is only tech I let work on them, Case in point, he rectified a USA ESP custom shop axe that had a setup from hell done to it that I had received as a gift. The Floyd was completely screwed up as well as the intonation. Matt snapped it back into first class playing shape He repaired my USA Charvel custom Frenchie's lose frets back to showroom condition.
I've purchased 4 high end guitars and basses from these guys in the past year ---everything setup brilliantly with no pressure.
Parents--- if you need a band instrument these are the guys to see. My daughter rented a cello for 10 years and bought the one she has today here
Purchased a 1991 big block ES 335 used today in black ---guitar is beyond sick in both sound and playability The staff let me A/B against a new one for as long as I wanted to
You won't get service online like you do in store here I't a huge difference when you are having a conversation with real working musicians that know the trade
Again I will update July 24 2020
Like everybody these guys had to rough it out through Corona
They setup a showroom appointment for me to try our a aGretsch Malcolm Young ready to go hooked to an amp ready to go.
Bought the guitar on site Matt restrung and adjusted it perfectly
Support these guys they will...
Read moreI simply have to write a review of Russo Music. I live in Las Vegas, NV, but I found Russo when I was searching for a limited edition drum which they happened to have in stock. I have dealt exclusively with Steve DiMaggio at their shop and all I can say is that he is THE BEST sales rep you could ever ask for. Over the last 8 months or so, we must have traded 150+ e-mails and several phone calls. I was (and am) new to the drumming world, and Steve has been THE most patient person, answering every e-mail, addressing every stupid question I have had, and made sure that I got exactly the equipment I need and want. Not to mention that the prices I've gotten from them have beaten every price I've ever seen on the Internet from any provider. I cannot more strongly recommend Russo as a place to do business, regardless of where you're located. It might be easier for me to work with local dealers, or even ones in California, for example, but I will always go back to Russo when it comes to drums, and probably ANYTHING musical related. I could...
