To anyone who remembers the original Tech Hifi in Hanover, you can rest assured that Mark and Eric and their team are doing the name justice. The original Tech Hifi was a place to talk about stereo equipment, listen to stereo equipment and make your audio dreams come true. Mark's reincarnation of the name carries on this tradition. It's the same type of candy store full of amazing equipment that you can actually audition live, staffed with people who love to talk about stereo equipment and all the technical geekery behind it. I brought my vintage Technics turntable in to see if they could fix the problems it was having, and Mark said that he would go through it and do a complete rebuild of the turntable. After a full refurbishing and a new Grado needle, I can't believe the difference. It's like a massive upgrade to my system. He even printed out a copy of the original owner's manual! As an aspiring audiophile, I can't recommend Tech Hifi enough. Good people, excellent equipment and they even resurrected the Strawberries name for their record...
Read moreHa ha ha I can not believe you are still in business! I bought my first cassette deck in Framingham on Route 9 in 1979? I think it was 99 bucks. My Mom drove me to get it. I saved up and bought it with my own money. I remember them stacked up at the door and I was there when you opened to score the deal which was advertised in a circular. Once a week WBCN would play an entire album commercial free. I hooked up the cassette deck to my parents old HiFi. Surprisingly it did have an RCA jacks output, one set, on the back. WBCN would play four tones when they started the album: “beep beep beep BEEEP.” Take the cassette deck off pause on the final beep. I clearly remember taping The Dark Side of the Moon. We would buy cassette tapes in boxes of 10 from Maxell and/or BASF. I think they made 90 minute ones so you could get the whole album on one side? Maybe 120 minutes? I’m going to buy a new cassette deck just rebought my first LP and a turntable. Never throw anything away. How did you stay in business all...
Read moreI brought a McIntosh amplifier in for servicing and Mark did an incredible job for a fair price. If you want your audio equipment repaired the right way, as close to factory as possible, Mark is your guy. He's one of the most passionate people I've ever met. He loves his work. It's been a joy getting to know him.
I'm so happy with the amplifier. I've been using a backup Pioneer and it is just no where near as good as this McIntosh. For a little while I was considering selling the McIntosh, but now that it's back and I can hear the difference, especially hearing the McIntosh like it was originally intended, I intend to keep it for decades.
THANK YOU MARK!
I'm unsure about these two 1-star reviews here on Google but to me they seem...
