Too bad we can’t choose zero stars. Took my recliner in for extra padding and springs in the seat. Brought it home and the back will no longer go back or sit up straight. Seat was stiff padding and padding in arms look ridiculous, big square pads. Took it back and he was on the defense right away saying it must have been something we done or must have just went out and he could fix it for a price. We said no, nothing was wrong with the back when we dropped it off. He got louder and louder until he started screaming at us. We just stared in shock, trying to reason facts with him. We never raised our voices and yet he was so angry with us. His brother was standing there with him and once Mel started screaming the brother walked away like he’s seen it before. We got nowhere, and left with our chair, still broken. Never seen anything...

I felt very lucky to find Mel and his company. The prices were great. The work was good. I was very happy. He seemed like a nice older gentleman. I had them reupholster 6 projects for me. Again, the work was not perfect, but I was mostly happy. On project number 7, I called to discuss the fabric I had chosen with Mel. He immediately lost his cool with me. Began yelling, telling me that he did not need my business. He became hostile with me to the point that I was crying. He did not even understand why I had called. He could not stop yelling long enough for me to speak. Needless to say, I will not be taking any more projects to them. I think they do OK work. And I am pretty picky. There needs to be a zero star option. Mel has some real anger issues. When I pointed out what he had done wrong, he flew off the handle and refused to talk in a calm manner. Addressing complaints is part of being a small business owner. This man definitely does not have the temperament.
