As a marine were taught a lot of the marine Corp History. And here at the museum I sometimes when I visit get to tell what I learn about the History I talk with visitors and talk my ear off lol . Because I enjoy telling them a little of everything they like to know . I shed a tear 😥 at the flag raising on Iwo Jima and as I look at all the conflicts on the monument the Corp been in and think of all the men who gave everything to Defense and protect 🇺🇲 our land . This museum and gift shop combined building has all the info you need on the battle of Iwo Jima. We so so many old displays of uniform, tools, equipment, maps, and other old documents sourcing back to the 1940s here. There's also a short film that plays with a seated area. Staff are present, and very kind and helpful. The gift shop sells a lot of souvenir trinkets, stickers, and other items at prices you'd expect for a tourist stop.
