My husband and I had to stop to get a few essentials for the week and have always visited this local shop n save since it’s the closest to our house. Today we went into the store and was instructed that both my husband and I each had to have a cart prior to entering. I explained to the lady that we didn’t need a cart since we only needed a few items that were easily able to be carried between the two of us. In addition, I tried to explain that we wanted to limit the things that we touched if it wasn’t necessary. She continued to insist that my husband and I each must have a cart. So to comply, we each grabbed a cart. Still confused by my interaction with her, within minutes of being in the store and having only two or three things in my husbands cart and nothing in my cart, I left my cart to the side. Upon leaving the store, the same brown, curly-haired women pointed out that I was missing my cart. I proceeded to tell her that I left my cart inside because I didn’t want to touch things unnecessarily. She then, in a rather frightening tone, stated to me that it was against that law that I do not push a cart throughout the store. At this point, me being very confused, I told her that it was not and that they cannot force me to walk around with a cart.. and then I proceeded to leave.
I hope in the future your employees will be more educated on current laws and, when appropriate, learn how to enforce them in a...
Read moreNo longer coming to this store for grocery shopping as they keep shutting off the self checkout earlier and earlier for no reason at all. Aldis is too close with way better pricing to be coming here if I also have to interact with humans while I am out. I don’t like people and only paid these ridiculous prices because I could skip the dog and pony show. If I have to interact at least I can still bag my own groceries at Aldi. Is this managements decision? Worried about shoplifting… the place is dead in the evenings and seem to have plenty of employees to have one stand to monitor the self checkout… is it the employees decision to close it early? They always seem so eager to try to close up for the night, it’s understandable to want to go home but trying to close up shop hours before closing time?! At least that one miserable lady that seemed to be in her 50s is gone that was always at the customer service desk and would literally ignore every customer for 10 minutes at least, she would ALWAYS HE PRETENDING to count cash ALL DAY literally every time I seen her she was in that separate room pretending there was no...
Read moreWATCH FOR OVERCHARGING. I like the store, I like the products, I agree the produce is fresh, but I am overcharged every single time I go in there. I usually buy about 10 to 12 items, but I am routinely overcharged on at least one item. Last time it was the Caulipower Frozen Pizza Crust (rang up at $7.99, but advertised as $5.99); tonight it was the Honey Crisp apples (The produce scales weighed my apples at 3.94 pounds, but scale at register 1 weighed them at 4.99 pounds...25% upcharge!). Every time I’ve been over charged, they’ve corrected it and refunded me, but it’s a pain in the butt, and the staff seems quite annoyed instead of apologetic. In fact, I’ve never received an apology. Tonight after I pointed out the scale problem, she actually said to me, “yeah, our schedules don’t work right.” Well, fix them! Most of the customers at the store appear to be on a fixed income, including me. Stop overcharging customers. That is theft, in my book. Note to customers: watch every single item. I’ve never been under charged, by the way....
