Had a perfectly great day ruined by the manager (overweight, balding man-I don't know his name and this is the reason for the description) who usually sits in the customer service booth. I was checking my receipt as I was walking out of the door, I noticed that the case of water I'd purchased was higher than the posted store flyer. I POLITELY asked why did it ring up as $3.99 instead of $3.33. I was asked by manager to bring case of water to the front of the service desk, which I did. One of the ladies also working the service desk area noticed that I had water that was NOT on sale. So I let them know that there was a sign that said 3 for $10.00, so the manager called one of the stocker to check. He said that it was another brand that was 3 for 10 but he was going to check the other area of the store where they also kept the water. At that point, the manager said to me "Some people should learn how to read". I responded that "I can read VERY WELL, thank you very much. But people expect items listed as being on sale to be placed under/below/in front of the sale sign". Just then the stocker called back on his walkie talkie and said that the pallet of Aquafina water was placed under the wrong sign and the correct pallet of water that was on sale was placed in the corner. The manager then tried to tell me that "Some customers move signs all the time". My response was "Come on, so you mean to tell me that some customer crawled over a pallet of water, removed a sign high on the wall, then crawled over another pallet of water and placed that sign over it". He said "Yeah, they do it all the time". My mother and I have lived in this area for over 30 years, have been a customer at this store for 5+ years. We shopped this store because they had better cuts of meats at cheaper prices but after today's incident and the manager's insinuation that I couldn't read, we will be looking for another grocery store to shop even if it means having to pay more for our meat. Manager needs to learn better Customer Relation Skills especially when customer(s) ask questions in a polite and...
Read moreI use to work at family foods and shop there. I loved that store and the prices until I had an encounter with the store manager Sam. He talks to his employees and customers very unprofessional. I've seen cashiers come and go. It's just like a revolving door. That's why I left. His attitude is messed up! Again Sam has very bad attitude! And is a bad business man. His hot eatery, body oils was shut down. I went in there yesterday to use Western Union. I see Sam sitting in the chair on the phone. Just totally ignored me. So I knocked on the window nicely. I just needed some service. If he couldn't help me, it should've been someone else in that office to help me. They usually have other people in the office. When he finally came to me he was so disrespectful, knocking back at the window, yelling at me while he was on the phone saying look at the sign on the window. The sign means we'll be right with you. But the problem was I was standing there for quite some time. The way how he talked to me I'll never go inside that store again. I've seen same into it with employees and customers. Now I see why everyone and everything is slowly shutting down on him. SAM IS THE STORE MANAGER AND IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I HOPE HIS STORE SHUTS DOWN FOR...
Read moreDo not risk your health buying food from this grocery store. I recently purchased bread from this store to arrive home only to notice it was contaminated with mold. I had a BBQ for the fireworks to attend to so I was not able to return the bread right away. As I attempted to returned the defected product I was told the bread could not be refunded without a receipt that was not giving to me after purchasing the product. I’ve ventured into this store on occasions to notice a majority of expired products on shelf or being loaded. I informed the owner of the situation but was giving the option to exchange for store credit instead of the provide currency that was paid, Then accused of possibly not purchasing the item from them! A quick and easy refund of $3.99 was met with embarrassment and a lack of remorse for the chance of poisoning me (the consumer). I was told “next time check your bread” instead of acknowledging the problem. I was instead only provided with an option to exchange my product with another from their dreadful inventory. In conclusion, stay away from buying food from this establishment they only care about money, also I reported them to the health department and Better...
