I a new golfer, so my brother and some buddies invited me to play The Meadows with them. We ate, drank, and was having a great time. The woman who was bartending was pleasant and professional and made great drinks. The guy downstairs that rents the golf carts was fun, engaging and very helpful. We played a round of golf behind a father son duo for 15 holes with no issues. After hole 15 they disappeared and we didn't see anyone in front of us from holes 16,17, and leading to hole 18. There was absolutely NOBODY on the 18th fairway at all so one of us teed off and shanked it over some trees to the right towards the fairway on the right. An EMPLOYEE named Dexter got into his golf cart on the other fairway and drove onto the 18th fairway and began screaming and yelling at us and accusing us of hitting into them. We yelled back we were sorry for shanking it onto his fairway. He then told us that they were playing the 18th hole also, and for us to "get the hell back to the clubhouse that the golf course was closed." We got into our golf carts and drove down to the 18th hole were I walked down to him and tried to explain that we didn't know that him and his 5 (five) other buddies were even ahead of us. He continued yelling and even threatened to call the owner. Good, great, I'd love for the owner to explain why I paid $60 per round, $5 per drink, and then get yelled at and berated for hitting a bad shot. This EMPLOYEE Dexter is an angry, rude, and completely unprofessional in every way. Even 2 members of his squad thanked me in the parking lot for us driving down and trying to explain. Needless to say that I will not patronize a place that charges people money to disrespect them for making a bad shot. I also would like to caution any group that just has 1 day per month to hang out and play with buddies, or any new golfers that may not be able to hit the fairway every time that this place (especially if Dexter is there) might not...
Read moreWanted to say some good things about this course & facility but after a couple negative experiences I just can't for a number of reasons.
The range is seemingly always closed for some benign reason or another, and of course, never an update on their website or by any other means of communication. It's always an hour round-trip for me simply to find out I can't use their facilities.
The posted hours are seemingly just a loose "guideline". I arrive at 3:30 to use the range and am told I can't. Ok, fine....I'll just play 9 holes instead. Surprise, can't do that either, even though the course is supposedly open until 6:00. Except when they arbitrarily decide to close for some unknown reason. It doesn't take 2.5 hours to play 9 holes so it can't be that. What course closes at 6:00 during the summer anyway? Sunset isn't until almost 8!
$60 for a round here is a reach in my opinion & not worth it, but I can see past that I guess. All courses in the area have gone up on their prices and this place isn’t exempt from price hikes either. What is ridiculous is if I wanna play 9 holes it's still $50...only $10 cheaper than 18 holes! What genius designed this pricing structure?
All in all it's a combination of a bunch of little stuff that adds up to this course putting a bad taste in my mouth and makes me doubtful I'll return anytime soon. Just be aware there's better places to play a...
Read moreI love this place — for a municipal course, it’s honestly a great option. I’ve played here several times with groups of two or three, and it’s always been a good experience. The course is a great value for the money, and I like that they use a tee time system so things don’t get too backed up.
The driving range is closed occasionally, but that’s not a big issue for the average golfer. I really like the price — even though the website lists around $180 for three people and two carts to play 18 holes, that’s not accurate. Every time I’ve come, it’s been about $30 per person for 18 holes, which I think is a great deal.hopefully this doesn’t change.
If I had one suggestion, it would be to refill the sand bottles on the carts more often so players can fill in their divots. The staff here are always friendly and helpful. When I visited on 10/11/25, our tee time was pushed back a bit, but one of the staff gave us a big bucket of range balls to make up for it — that was a nice touch.
The food is great, even though they don’t have professional-grade equipment. Overall, I really enjoy coming here — the tee boxes and fairways are in good condition, and the greens are well-maintained. It’s a solid course and an excellent value...
