There is not much in this store and many of the products seem bougie (is there really a demand for Kewpie and Oatley in Harpswell?) This used to be the veggie corner and it was a great spot for fruit and veg and basic items without needing to go to town. There is just not enough here to justify stopping in as a trip to one of the big box grocery stores or even to Morning Glory will still be necessary, why make 2 trips? Not a fan that the store is also seasonal - maybe they’re just trying to cater to the tourists. The locals really loved the veggie corner - a down to earth neighborhood grocer, but the Corner Market just doesn’t seem to be the place for us. There’s also a café nearby and Pete’s that sell many of the same items. It has become our go to stop on the way to our weekend and first trip on Saturday morning. From sandwiches, to sweet treats, to corn, to bread, to pasta, steak, cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables and our weekly marble rye - and of course a cup of delicious coffee.
