If I could give less than 1 star, I would! Horrible experience and hope to never need another mri again. I specifically requested an open mri as I am claustrophobic due to a traumatic experience. As I was rushed into my appointment but someone I had no idea who he even was, he asked if I was there for the closed mri. I said no, in complete panic, and explained I am claustrophobic and I specifically scheduled at that facility as they were the only one who had one. He said "well thats what youre getting today" and I was then LAUGHED AT by the technician or whoever he was. He was COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL and the most insensitive, ignorant person who lacks basic common courtesy and empathy! What that person is even doing working in the medical field, I honestly question! I then began to internally panic the entire test. I couldn't even regrip the bulb to squeeze it to release me out of the tube bc both of my hands and feet went numb! I was paralyzed in panic and as he finally removed me, I went into a full blown panic attack and began crying. His response was questioning me! Thanks for the traumatic experience. MIL was scheduled for MRI of hand no contrast. She is 79 and frail. Scheduling never told us she would have to lay on her stomach in “Superman” position for up to a half hour to image her hand. She has had 3 knee replacements. She could not complete the imaging session due to excessive pain. She reported to me that during the session nobody radioed in to her to check in on her comfort level. She was both the victim of poor scheduling due to no warning of the position she would be in and perhaps an inexperienced MRI tech. We shall see if we can find another place to get her MRI done if possible. More likely insurance will not provide another authorization and sadly she will have to endure another painful session to get an image of her Hand. Amendment: Radiologist was able to send partial summary reading to MIL's orthopedic doc. The orthopedist was able to make a diagnosis without any additional imaging. Very fast. Very knowledgeable about anything from precertification to whatever scan that you are getting. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. It’s like a one stop shop. You make your appointment and then just show up your insurance information is taken care of for you and if you have any questions about what you are getting done they are extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend that if you want to get in and get out extremely quickly make your appointment as early in the morning as possible like when they open. Also make sure you fill out your paperwork before your appointment and that will make your experience even more faster. I think I was there for maybe a half an hour from when I checked in got my ct scan got dressed and then was ready to leave. Great place to get any kind of imaging that you are getting done. I would highly recommend this place....
