I called Guys Hardware to come out and look at my gas water heater. The repair guy said it was a thermocouple and took the part & said that they would be out Saturday or the following Monday with new part. Monday came and I didnât hear a word from them so I called them near 3 that day and was told they couldnât get the part and I needed to find someone else to do the job. So I called Kniselyâs which came out that Thursday and they ordered the thermocouple, brought it out that following Monday. But it wasnât the thermocouple at all, It was the gas valve. So I had two choices a new gas valve or a new gas water heater. I chose new gas water heater. Long story short, I give Kniselyâs a 5 star rating and Guys a 0 rating. They left with the job undone, my water heater torn apart and they took the part they said was broken and never returned it. My family went without hot water for almost 2 weeks and I paid for a thermocouple that wasnât needed. Never have I gone there and been disappointed by any employee or decision that was made contrary to my expectation. Period.
Perhaps people should start embracing a practice that our elders lived and taught: personal accountability. It is on this premise, that most people that find fault with others would quickly realize that they, not others, were the problem.

   Read moreVery disappointed. The friendly, helpful employees I read about on other reviews must have all been on vacation. When I requested help piecing together a project, I received a response of "well how are we susposed to know what you need". I put on my patience cap and pushed on with the other employee that attempted to assist me to the best of her ability. In the end I purchased none of what I needed because they were out of most the items required for the task.
