US Army and Air Force Exchange Services — Local services in Harrison Township

I purchased a Nordictrack treadmill from them on June 25th. I FINALLY received it yesterday and the shipping company delivered it in the yard, in the rain, even though the exchange said it would be delivered under cover. When it was late I asked for a refund but the exchange said they would charge me around 300 dollars to restock this item and it would get to me eventually. Also the delivery person implied they would get it on the porch if I gave them 100 dollars. When it did finally get put together, the motor control board was broken and the thing does not work. The exchange does not respond to my requests to deal with this expensive product being broken, but I am sure they will try to make me pay to send it in. Nordictrack told me to expect products to be defective and it is COVID's fault and there is nothing that can be done. This is an insanely expensive, 300lbs paperweight that the exchange and nordictrack are trying to pawn off on people to get off the shelf. If you do not have DAYS of free time, you should not buy this from the exchange or a Nordictrack product. OH, and I should mention that, even though the warranty states a free year of labor, Nordictrack said the replacement park would be to me at the earliest in four weeks and they would send me a video on how to install it myself. My only concern with this location is that there in no commissary on post. That said it is upsetting to me that there is limited fresh fruit, vegetables and protein options here and what is available is very high priced. PX locations shall have these fresh and healthy options in a wide variety and priced as such to be not just better for you; but cheaper than the preserved garbage that is everywhere else in the country. Put these options at the front end and lead by example if we expect our Nation to fix the weight and health status issues that limit our percentage of population available for Military service. This is too easy and obvious a fix to get things back on track. Get serious about this now and the Services will follow suit. I came to use the px. I have a Mi drivers license with veteran designation and a military veteran plate. I’m ex army. You can only get this if you have 180 days or more of active service. I have 6 years and two deployments. Combat veteran. I was denied entry based on that I do not have a disability. I spoke with the post commander who confirmed I was not allowed on property with out being military disabled. I had been there when I got out of osut in 2007 with my wife no problem. This is a major let down for all veterans. There is no other base. I warn all army vets not disabled. Stay away from there. Another proof that the U.S and the VA don’t take care of vets.
