Ideal place to bring kids, but if you don't have any - then you'll be perhaps a bit bored. For adults, it seems like the only attractions are the corn maze & pumpkin picking. Everything else is super focused toward kids. Also feels like we definitely missed prime time for most of the attractions, which I think might only be worth it the first few days they're open.
The maze took us around 45 minutes. They have waypoints throughout it to track your progress & a map outside to help. This includes an online map that makes use of your phone's GPS, in case you get lost. Unfortunately, so much of the maze had already been destroyed - with people cutting paths & shortcuts that clearly weren't intentional. Still, it was fun to wander around for a while & try to find the way out.
The pumpkin patches were a mess. We wandered for almost an hour, and 90% of the pumpkins were rotted or otherwise destroyed by humans. The patches look very full - but it's almost deceiving because of how many are unusable. We did find one good one, and ended up picking another from their pre-picked selection near the shop.
Parking is just a large grass field. So plenty of spaces, but it can be a little sloppy. Even on a busy weekend, there was still plenty of available parking.
It was overall a fine experience, but I think it's a one time thing. There was definitely not enough here to warrant...
Read moreMy family and I took a trip to Van Buren Acres for a family adventure. It did not disappoint. Every staff member we interacted with was very polite, friendly and helpful. My kids really loved all of the different activities, and there were a lot! Their favorite was a tie between the giant pit of corn where they went "swimming" in the corn, and the large bouncy air pillows. I admit that my wife and I also thoroughly enjoyed the air pillows. We also played putt-putt, walked the corn maze (it takes a good bit of time), went down slides, rode in the tractor pulled wagon, threw baseballs, shot basketballs, rolled around in huge pipes, rode a cow train and more! It was a fantastic experience! We did not purchase pumpkins on this trip, but we'll be back for that. They provide the option to go pick your own pumpkins! How fun is that! We're all very excited to go back to find pumpkins that fits each of our personalities and tastes. Please do yourself and your family a favor and check this place out. You'll...
Read moreWent today with our daughters preschool and wow! I am so impressed. There was not enough time to do everything!! We had a blast on the tractor and hayride, they had multiple jump pads, some many face hole photo boards., animal petting area, and of course pumpkins. Those things were expected as a staple to every pumpkin patch that makes it perfect for fall, however they had so many activities that weren’t expected like a corn “sand” box area, a tractor tire mountain, multiple pipe slide, a water hand pump duck race, bounce ball corral and so many other things. Not only was the staff friendly but the area was clean and inviting. The amount of fun things to do specifically unexpected and amazing activities had both of us bummed when we needed to leave. Overall such a fun family event to do during the fall. 10/10 we’ll...
