Harps Pharmacy — Local services in Harrison

When these stores were Country Mart, I loved the store, the pharmacy and the pharmacy workers. But since they have become Harps stores these pharmacy employees and pharmacist are horrible. Maybe they came from Walmart I don’t know, because they are at that level of customer disrespect and authoritarianism that Walmart pharmacist are notorious for which is exactly why Walmart has been sued so many times. I used to fill all my Scripts here up until a few months ago when they started telling my doctors office that because I had One prescription filled at a different pharmacy due to a severe allergic reaction to the brand Harps carries, they would no longer fill my scripts unless they were filling all of them. Regardless, if I was severely allergic to one of the medications they carry. They refuse to order this medication in any other brand, claiming they are under contract to only supply a specific brand which has put me in the hospital. I had to have all of my prescriptions transferred to a different pharmacy because of this. Fast forward a few months, my current pharmacy is out of one of my prescriptions, so I asked Harps if they have this medication available, they replied yes they had enough to take care of me and they would fill it for me. I called today to see if they’d received the prescription from my doctors office and was told by the pharmacist Yes they received my prescription but no they will not be filling it because he feels I am on too much of this medication, so he’s not going to fill it for me. The audacity of these people! Does he have my medical chart, does he know why I take this medication how long I’ve been taking it etc.? Does he know the reason for it? No he doesn’t he is on a power trip because he knows he controls my health at this point and he’s going to do his damnedest to put me in the hospital I guess. I am so sick of these people. Shame on you. You are a disgrace to the medical profession and I hope somebody sues your ass and takes your license. I will never set foot in another Harps store again, I don’t care if I have to start driving to Branson or elsewhere to go to a grocery store or a pharmacy, I am done with all Harps stores. I have been to the store manager about this, the pharmacist lied to the store manager and told him it wasn’t them, it was my doctors office, which was a bold face lie. I’m done. At this point I think I may just consult my own attorney for...

The pharmacy and some pharmacy workers are excellent but there are the usual slacker employees. At one time it was a great place. If you need urgent assistance this is not the place. Asked if they stay open ten extra minutes as I got out surgery late and needed maybe an extra ten as the scripts were called in earlier that day and where ready. But I got the rude reply "We shutdown at six and thats that", which heard and felt don't count on it and enjoy your pain. Today Harp's pharmacy is little more than a convince. It's unfortunate as they have some truly caring employees still. But for the slackers they know who they are for they can't even look at you in eye.

I really hate changing pharmacies again but it my be time to change to a more caring pharmacy. It's unfortunate as there a couple really carrying pharmacy...

Genuinely wish it wasn't Harps. I've never been treated with such disrespect. I've been going to country mart since i was a boy. Will no longer give this pharmacy my business. Employee named Amber was so hateful. And when i asked for her name she covered her name tag and yelled at me "if you have something to say to me say it." Then proceeded to yell at the old lady behind the counter. Who was trying to diffuse the matter. Just very inappropriate behavior for an employee of any standing. There is more info leading up to the altercation. However time does not allow me to put it to writing. Do not go here....
