Oceana County Fairgrounds — Local services in Hart

My family and I recently visited. We had a great time as usual. The food, rides, events, and entertainment are amazing. However, I unfortunately cannot say that about the employees and customer service. We needed assistance and we sadly didnt get the help we expected and fully needed. First, two parking attendants were extremely rude. Second, when we were advised to go to the office for help, the old lady didnt not want anything to do with us and was rude as well. We then went to the police tent and told them the situation and they too sent us back to the office and thats when she let the younger gentleman working in the office somewhat help us. Hours and turmoil later, we finally and thankfully got the help we needed. So thanks to that gentleman employee in the office for letting us use his cell phone. And the lady at the gate collecting the fee was really sweet. But the older lady in the office and parking attendants could really use some positivity and empathy. Would give 5 stars because the fair itself is phenomenal, but the employees this past season...

Since I was a child I have attended the "Hart Fair" with family members. It focuses on young people and their contributions through the 4-H. For a small town, they offer a lot: livestock (auction & judging), exhibits, equestrian competitions, food & beverages galore, a good variety of midway rides and games, adequate restroom access, homemade arts/crafts displays, and more! The fair is always a favorite for our family. The demolition derby put on such a great show that my boys are still talking about it a week later. This year's fair (2021) was especially fun because of how much everyone missed it last year. It was less crowded because the midway way open the week prior.
