My wife and I came to Rush Creek Distilling through Harvest Host, really glad we did. The whole experience was outstanding. We were a bit late getting started at the distillery but Braden took his time and made us feel very welcome. We started with a tasting I had the 4 ryes to start and finished with the trophy. All were very good, all very smooth with very nice finish. My wife had the coffee and vanilla vodkas, the maple finished bourbon and the trophy. She enjoyed them all, even though not a coffee drinker found the coffee vodka to be very pleasing. She finished with a great old fashion made with the trophy that was outstanding.

The tastings were great with Braden describing each of the spirits, then he extended a quick tour of the distillery, walking through the distilling process, bottling and storage. Very nice to get a bit of a view of all the work that goes into the great spirits that Rush Creek Distilling products. Braden enthusiasm for his work and how he made us feel very welcome shows why RCD has great spirits and fabulous place to visit

If in the Harvard, IL area I highly recommend visiting Rush...

What a fun way to spend a Saturday night!

Had a Groupon for a tour and a tasting since they only offer 1 tour on Saturdays,we opted to skip the tour and go around 5pm just for the tastings since their live music started at 6pm. They also bring in a food truck on weekends in the afternoon.

Rachel did our tasting. We started with vodka, then gin, whiskey, bourbon and flavored vodkas. All were quite good and she explained how each one was processed. It was just enough for us to purchase a few bottles to bring home. If you join their Spirits Club you can get in store discounts. We loved the bourbon, coffee vodka and barrel aged gin.

We started with an old fashion and an old fashion ayer made with barrel aged gin and plum bitters. Cocktails cost about 10.00 each and are generous pours. We also tried a banana old fashion which was a little heavy on the maple syrup in my opinion.

If you are looking for an easy drive in the country and fantastic drinks and good people, this is the place to go. We will...

Great atmosphere, rewards program, service, and spirits! The bartenders are masters of their craft, and the drink menu offers an eclectic mix of cocktails for every preference. Traditionalists and people looking for a new libation will be equally pleased with the offerings at Rush Creek. My only gripe is that it's located way out in Harvard! But the owners are all Harvard born and bred, so it's great to see them investing in and enriching their community. It's quickly become one of my favorite spots in Northern IL for the quality of their fare and the friendly engagement and service from all of their employees, from owners to bartenders. Groupons are available for cheap for distillery tours, and I'd bet that most people stick around to have a cocktail or two afterwards. I can't stress enough how much we've enjoyed Rush Creek Distillery! Oh, and if you're a veteran like I am, they'll give you a drink on the house! And they have a program that lets you buy a coin and postcard for a vet and...

Rush Creek Distilling is the "diamond-in-the-rough" of Harvard, Illinois. Along with its classy, beautiful, upper-class atmosphere, you will find an incredible bar with super talented bartenders serving up delicious, hand-crafted, and incredibly smooth beverages along with fun entertainment and food trucks on the weekends. They have dog-friendly outdoor seating in the spring/summer and also offer very interesting and informative tours and tastings. They even have a gift shop where there is something for everyone. I highly recommend swinging by RCD and supporting this local small business. I love their spirits so much, that when I go to bars in the area now, I always order Rush Creek because it's FAR superior to other popular brands, especially their vodkas, they are fabulous! A++
